Le monarch in pvp…
-OPINION-
This thing needs a nerf. It’s one of the scummiest things in pvp. You might as well have died when getting hit by it as it immediately leaves you with enough health to be tickled to death and takes you out of the fight for a good 5+ seconds… it’s devastating in 3v3. I’d say it’s border line special weapon in terms of power.
Curious to hear le monarch mains defend this thing…

4 RepliesNo. Tired of Pvp players expecting a nerf because they're having trouble. Le Monarch is key to many lost sectors. PvP has trouble with shotguns and sniper rifles and cheating. No weapon nerf will make it anything but the garbage that it is.

2 RepliesI don't use bows in Crucible unless I have a bounty to do so, but nerfing kills fun , and a game full of mediocre weapons is worse than snowflakes getting offended cause a certain weapon or ability kills them Nothing should be nerfed , every nerf is bad for the game, like real pre-witness -blam!- Calus would say "Everything in excess guardian!!!"

9 RepliesDont listen to the clown talking about witherhoard. He clearly doesn't understand how to jump or move his character. Lemon fart is an annoying weapon to play against and definitely needs a nerf. It's not that it's broken or uncounterable either, before someones panties get wadded up. It's that you get a hit-scan weapon that takes a person out of a fight for 3-4 seconds at least because their shield gets stripped, they lose health, AND they get poisoned which stops health and shield regen so you just sit there and wait. Such a boring thing to play against, especially on maps that don't have a lot of cuts. My suggestion: Make it a special weapon and buff it in pve.

its more like the bow swap combo thats annoying to deal with, le monarch is balanced when on its lonesome. You’re probably only ever dealing with immortal hotswappers.

It's been nerfed already. It does the same amount of damage as any other bow of the same type. Poison is its exotic trait and if you remove that - there is nothing left. That is its whole thing, it's what makes it an exotic. Whatever they do with it now, will completely ruin it. If the usage becomes high enough, they will do it anyway, cause that's what they always do. All about the numbers...

The fact that I only know 4 people including myself that know how to abuse the le monarch is me being ok with it not being nerfed. I was around for the Thorn and TLW 2 shot meta. The amazing thing that I don't see plenty more of the toxic setups complained about on the forums makes me fear yt because one day it'll come out. If I'm against a Le Mon user I'm using healing nades or nades that push them out of their comfort zones.

The problem isn't Le Monarch. It's the wombo combo, hand cannon with quick draw.

4 RepliesIts already been nerfed, get good. Have you bow haters ever bothered to use scouts or snipers? They both can go toe to toe with bows. Snipers are actually way better if you can decently aim. I personally love jade rabbit or honestly any other scout for bow users, I can always kill them before they get back to cover. You know what does need a nerf? The quick swap combo with bows and any other primary. Facing those players is miserable and absurdly hard to counter. Le monarque though? Its fine

3 RepliesThey already nerfed it so that it can't one-shot when using Empowered Well or any other damage buffs. What more do you want? If you remove or nerf the poison, then it just becomes a weapon no better than a Legendary.

4 RepliesAll I would say: It’s a great weapon to use to counter Snipers at the back of the map. Also, your main is using Witherhoard, one of the easiest weapons to use and get kills with. If hit by Witherhoard, even not directly, you still likely die. Even if you survive, you’re so low on health, you get hit one more time and you are dead. So at least IMO, seems a little silly to complain about this bow, when you use that weapon. Also with your mains set-up, you probably prefer and or need to be close ranged. Therefore, I could see you having issues with something that is long ranged.
