So much like the rest of you i was getting plum error every 10mins or so some days more than others. i tried everything! deleting Battleye, verifying files in steam, allowing battleye through firewall and anti-virus, deleting xbox game bar etc.
FINALLY have a fix that has worked for nearly a week - im using a xbox elite series 2 controller and steam so hopefully the people having the issue are using the same or similar.
* Open Steam
* Click Settings
* Click Controller
* Click General Controller Settings
* Untick Xbox Configuration Support
Restart PC, and go back in and make sure its still unticked and now you should be right to play without the error!
Also would like to add make sure windows is up to date and graphics card (make sure you go into the area and click check for updates as my NVIDA Geforce Experience is sometimes delayed in giving me the notification)

4 RepliesThank you for this information, and I do hope it worked for someone. Unfortunately, it did not work for me. I don't have any controllers connected, but when I went to uncheck all the other random checked boxes for controller support, it kept erroring me out of Steam. So, there's definitely something there. I'm seeing a trend of people who got 'Plum' being in PvP events like myself. I just completed Flawless on a Mercy card. Not before I got 'Weasel' though...
