Destiny 2 needs to leave last gen consoles behind
I feel like bungie needs to leave the old gen consoles behind we’re I. Ps5 and Xbox series consoles all the new features and power of the consoles aren’t being fully taken advantage of desitny 2 is being held back by last gen consoles something needs to change about that aftet the light and dark saga

Game wasn’t made for current gen it was a last gen game so maybe you can take your Richie rich -blam!- over to a game meant for current gen . My family had a ps5 and it wasn’t cheap, and we still have our ps4 so we can have two people playing together. 6 RepliesThey absolutely will not do that. You can’t sell Destiny 2 to last gen consoles and then decide you won’t support them any more. They would have to create a new game.

Definitely not going to happen this year and likely won’t with the Final Shape, but maybe with whatever comes after. It’s not the root of all issues as the vast majority of that is due to the engine and the age of the game. However it’d be nice to get future improvements in things like graphics, particle effects etc.

It's time we drop destiny 2 for a little bit in general lol The mobile game model they've squished into this TRIPLE A game is damming it dry of content. Drip feeding anything to extend what life is left in the game. Ten years a long time and ten more even longer. But how they're handling it from a consumer stand point they will have a very small percentage actually stay. They got to make a pimpin decision

Nothing will help unless they design a new game engine. The game engine is from halo reach and has been patchworked to the point its starting to be overworked and imploding on itself!

I doubt it would do much for D2 running on that outdated engine.

It will eventually need to happen. At soonest I imagine this could happen with final shape, but it's probably more likely to happen after the light & darkness saga is over.
