I honestly doubt they ever will, but am hopeful that just one more time, after a fairly long time, they decide to actually have an open conversation with the community to just let us know what exactly is in fact going on. Most of us here will only stay until the end of Lightfall or Final Shape, but the likelihood that any of us will ever buy another Bungie game is terribly low when they show that they cannot make the best decisions regarding their game design and server infrastructure, maintain a healthy and productive communication with their community as a whole(meaning no echo chambers being prevalent), and slip up every which way with their PR. The way I see it, if they cannot make things work with how the game changes going forward into Season of the Deep, then there’s a good chance that they wont be able to provide a quality experience with FS either. No player could possibly be content with underdelivering content released over and over again. The majority of us on here, albeit we may have disagreements, want the best possible experience with the game and don’t want to see it fail. Whether or not the devs at Bungie want the same has yet to be seen, and them communicating as much is a very vital step for them.

Honestly even if they did will that give the community hope or will people lose it thinking that “now that bungie has said that, it’s time for destiny to die as a whole?” and start leaving on mass? (This is just worst case scenario I can think of).
