Flawless pool is honestly the only reason I play Trials after getting a flawless, it makes getting adept weapons easier and makes farming Adept Weapons farmable like GM Adepts. As of me writing this, I went flawless and loaded into another game, the first thing I notice is that a player on my team doesn’t have a glow on their Immortal SMG (In a normal week, Flawless pool would be active at this time). If making it so Adepts require a flawless every time, then fair enough, it would be more challenging but not fully rewarding, since great alternative rewards can be acquired elsewhere (for example, Unwavering Duty (Trials LMG) has a better alternative in Commemoration (Deep Stone Crypt LMG)). Alongside this, getting a flawless would remain harder for lower skilled players, sure the practice pool exists, but when those players are ready to go flawless, they can’t due to more skilled players who have already been flawless can still matchmake against them and can then stomp then out of the Challenger pool and back to Practice. It may be a but hard to program into the game (Flawless Pool on-top of Challenger and Practice Pool) but it would make Trials a way better mode.

103 RepliesFlawless pool is a horrible concept, it allows people who cant do something to be able to get something they didn’t deserve. Imagine id GM were hard on Friday and Saturday but when Sunday and Monday hit it just became a normal Legend Strike. Its Trials, AKA PvP and should not be easier for people unwilling to learn PvP but demand the weapons

2 RepliesIt's a complicated issue because more opportunities for a wider skill bracket of players to get rewards is great for the mode. I like that anyone no matter how good or bad even if they lost every game can still eventually get everything from saint-14. Flawless pool created more flawless opportunity for lesser skilled players which isn't in itself a bad thing but it resulted in no lifers and paid carry services resetting cards and farming the casuals. As well as this it removed the ability to try and play with friends/encourage friends to try and practice if you were a good player that'd have their flawless done already. I also think a MASSIVE amount of the problem isn't actually with the mode but with the players. Destiny is a game series that until lightfall was made easier and easier with every patch, so a game mode that didn't instantly reward without practice became hated. People who play at most 30mins of PvP a week want to first try flawless and that's just unreasonable. I really think that if everyone was better at managing their expectations alot of the hate would fade, all it takes is practice, a willingness to learn and some time. I think if need be flawless pool could come back however rather than being used to farm adepts i would like to see tiers of flawless for the weekend. First flawless of the weekend are rewards as they are now. Trips to the lighthouse within flawless pool reward ornaments for trials gear (think the rise of iron style). Wow holy crud I didn't mean to write so much lmao
