Who is a destiny 2 for anymore?

PVP is a joke. Zero balance. It’s just a free bobble head hit box snipe feast or fire 2 rounds out of a fusion before even Immortal can kill. I can’t even have fun in 6’s because that’s a sweat-fest too. Cool. Let’s dive into our rich PVE meta. Streamers wanted it more challenging, so now GM’s are harder than master raids. Have to do FIVE normal dungeons for a weekly pinnacle. Even lost sectors are un-fun. We pay $100/year for a game with more bugs and balance issues than a steam early access game. So I ask. Who is Destiny 2 for anymore? Doesn’t seem like it’s for the gamers….

    • It's hard to even tell anymore, with how little content gets put out I want to say the Tuesday Reset Players who log in once a week and never again With how they adjusted PvE's difficulty I want to maybe say players like myself who find the most fun is in challenging content such as Raids But I honestly can't tell anymore

        • Stop spending $100 in one go for any game, btw. Personally my biggest issues with PvP is the hilariously counter productive radar and the short sighted green ammo economy that's 70% of everybody's problems without them knowing it.

            • It depends on the design team. Some game designers understand how to balance difficulty with a rewarding experience, easy and challenging in just the right places. Others simply want to make things as complicated and annoying as possible. At the moment we have the "complicated and annoying" team.

              • Casual gamers who will do the annual story and maybe drop money on the season pass and eververse items. Addicted whales who can’t quit but hate the game and continue to spend a steady flow of money on all aspects. Players who enjoy the game for what it is - likely due to the fun gunplay / sandbox who will dip in and out as their interest in the content takes them.

                    At this point, I'm convinced that Bungie is deliberately, but slowly, killing Destiny as a franchise. As long as Destiny lives, their new IP won't succeed. Not that it will succeed anyway because no one can trust Bungie anymore.

                    • Don't play content you don't enjoy. It's what I do. I play Gambit, Iron Banner, and Trials. That's my endgame. I don't often do Dungeons and I could careless about raids. I prefer to solo queue because I find the matches more in my favor that way. I just wish Gambit would get new content.

                        • IMHO, its a sinking ship, Bungie is trying to milk any cash they can get, with little effort, as the 12 Projects from Sony seem to be taking priority. Id like someone to prove me wrong.

                        • Absolutely no mood to play this game. Every time I try to do solo something I die from falling or from something exploding. I’m 1814 and the hero nightfall feels like I’m doing it on master . And is long too who has the time to do it 3-5 times just to get the pinnacle . I don’t even bother playing the campaign with the titan as it is to long and just to get the strand subclass it’s not worth it for me. Use to play pvp mostly but since these weekly changes I don’t bother even going there. This game is not fun anymore.

                          • Tbh I have to agree with what you say…. I am a day one player with thousands of hours of game play and yet I just feel defeated at every turn ….. but as I have always been told by so many people ..:there are other games out there which i play a lot and i only drop in to destiny once in awhile…that takes the stress off a mediocre game, like IB next week I’ll play all week with that and then play some else after

                            I'm pretty sure Destiny has become a training ground for Bungie's new hires. It's their opportunity to virtue signal and sell silver. I've gone casual since my clan disbanded. Once in a while my son hops on to play, but he's the last of the 20 or so regulars that I used to play with. Sad to say, but most of my friends are playing other games these days and it's because Destiny really soured them with their online play. Which is too bad, because the play mechanics themselves are really smooth, but the sandbox is so lacking. I'd be on GTA5 online with them, but the shooting mechanics and character control are truly shoddy. Borderlands/Wonderlands is where it's at for a good blend of FPS/RPG with co-op play (though I wish they had some open server worlds with larger lobbies).
