Hey all,
In my recent Competitive matches, I have had multiple teammates and opponents abandon. After some investigation on social media, it appears there is no longer a suspension penalty or glory penalty for abandoning a match.
This allows players who only care about their Competitive Ranking (such as those grinding for the new Ascendant Emblem) to leave after the first round of any match they are not carried, and forces players who are trying to improve to spend most of their time in either a 3v0 or 1v3 situation.
I just wanted to pass some feedback to the team that this is not an enjoyable change.
Thank you for your time,
Regal Goldfish

2 RepliesYep main reason I don’t touch comp . Even in Quickplay so many quitters ! It’s right in the first 30 seconds or on the last 2 minutes . As soon as there is a twenty point difference people drop out when it’s so easy to turn the game around 🙄

Did they have the Hakke emblem? I hear that thing has made a come back.

They have already fixed this glitch

And trials, lose one round and people leave, it’s unbelievable even when it’s winnable and a tiny mistake was made, but you go to adapt and it’s 2v3 cause someone had a cry and left butt hurt🤦🏼

3 RepliesMeanwhile, I get a comp suspension and I havent even played comp this season. Bungie, how can I leave a game I never played? This is getting ridiculous.

they don't care about the players, everything that happens with the game is just -blam!- up

2 RepliesEdited by DaveWashington: 4/22/2023 6:40:51 AMI’ll quit because I’m stupid and was bringing the team down anyways. Quicksilver shreds with nano bullets one game and shoots whimsical nano bubbles the next. Teammate runs by us dead guys and goes 1 v 3 to meet their maker. Might start quitting more often because it looks like they did away with credit for winning games in trials. Credit only for winning matches and ranking up doesn’t happen very quickly unless you win matches.

Plays pvp in a broken game where 3rd party cheaters rule, then cries about it [yaawwwnnnn]

4 RepliesIf they left it's probably cuz you sucked

There was a glitch whereby quitting didn't lose comp ranking points and you didn't get banned. People were using it to cheese up the ladder. The glitch has been fixed today.

Edited by Rainbine 9545: 4/22/2023 6:50:05 AMI do try in matches but if the enemy team kinda steam role us on the first match, my effort starts to go down and if we are instantly getting our -blank- handed to us I honestly stop trying Call it being a bad sport or anything, honestly it’s more like I don’t want to waste effort on a match that’s already over (Also, this is coming from a guardian who dodged a nova bomb by going over it with strand and making warlocks who spam stasis turrets run with grapple and lastly killed a Titan in their bubble while they had saints helm on with stasis) But I would try not to leave, the only times I do is when I have had enough and just want to a have a break and not really enjoying myself But I don’t agree with people leaving, as it does ruin the game but I honestly still try, maybe not to the same extent but leaving is honestly just a waste of time, your getting either rank or something at the end right?

I got a competitive playlist ban from playing one control match tonight....lol I'm done.

They fixed the comp penalty.

Been noticing the same with pretty much every activity. Tho I believe most are due to error code kicks. I've been getting anteater error codes often in pvp as of today.
