How Bungie? How do you not fix something that actually ruins the game and hotfix a legendary shard farm that barely even matters?
Your priorities are all messed up.

2 Replies[quote]How Bungie? How do you not fix something that actually ruins the game and hotfix a legendary shard farm that barely even matters? Dont quite understand why they cant do a gta type reward, until they fix an issue we get any of their bloated currency. May help new players enjoy the product that they take their own sweet time to fix. Then again this is bungie, not rockstar. By giving shards (or any other bullspit currency) to players til they fix an issue that hinders players, would “look” like they cared. Rockstar did it until they gave us a shiny new product, it took awhile, but i amassed millions from that. It didnt harm their ONE currency stream, not even a little! Bungie is an evil, whiny, snot nosed kid, that cries if people mess with their bloated economy. Poor bungie. These posts do nothing but pretend to make people feel like their words mean something, reality check, they dont! Bungie will never read these complaints, because they dont care, never will. That is until we start using our wallets (our currency) to make them listen. Use our currency against them. Dont allow them to pull money out of our collection, patch that quick, just like they do. What the hell am I saying, most guardians have stockholm syndrome!

Gotta love it Variety of reoccurring error codes across the game, master dungeon barely dropping 65+ rolls, matchmaking in PvP abysmal, error code: anteater still not fixed since launch of Lightfall, RNG for red borders still too low, weapons severely unbalanced in PvP, Immortal still running rampant, more abilities than weapons in PvP, etc. Bungie's response: ... Players using a legendary shard exploit Bungie's response: "Oopsie Woopsie! We made a -blam!- wxcky!! A wittle -blam!- boingo! The code monkeys at our headquarters are working VEWY HAWD to fix this!" *patches immediately*

Edited by GummiWams: 4/22/2023 6:45:50 PMThere are so many game breaking bugs in the game right now. Kings fall won’t even let you spawn in for more than five seconds before crashing the game. Ending crucible matches disconnects you from the game. Load outs don’t copy properly half the time. So many perks and mods are currently broken. And don’t forget the terrible audio.
-
Bungie doesn't like their community. They would rather let the interns run the game and ruin it.
-
3 Repliesyet the resilience is broken again. You take more damage and the adds are tanks again. And not a word from bungie.

1 ReplyEdited by draycole: 4/22/2023 4:48:45 PMTo be fair neither are "fixed" they just disabled our ability to get the item for the shards The equivalent would be disabling audio.

The fact they haven't even fixed the comp penalty lol but are able to fix this says a lot.

13 RepliesThese posts are so dumb and just shows the amount of people who don’t know what they’re talking about

It’s not a farm. It’s an exploit. It also is a matter of flipping a switch to stop you from pulling something from collections. They didn’t fix it. They just turned it off.

[quote]How Bungie? How do you not fix something that actually ruins the game and hotfix a legendary shard farm that barely even matters? 30 RepliesSay I have a car. Say the left headlight doesn't work. It needs to be dealt with. Now say at the same time, the engine has a problem that I can't quite identify. I know what it is or isn't doing, but just can't for the life of me figure out WHY it is or isn't doing it. Should I ignore the headlight entirely, in favor of focusing 100% on the engine? Why? When I can just go to the store, buy a new headlight and replace the broken one, why would I ignore that problem in favor of sitting on my -blam!- wondering what's wrong with the engine? I would fix the headlight, nice and easy to do, then get back to worrying about the difficult issue. And if the right headlight blows while I'm trying to figure out the engine, I'll stop working on the engine to fix the right headlight, then get back to the engine. It isn't very different here: shard farm is nice and easy to fix, the other issues are harder. Better to take a second to fix the easy thing so it stops being a problem while you work on the hard thing. Don't get me wrong, I don't understand why they felt it needed fixing to begin with, it didn't hurt anyone or anything, but objectively speaking it WAS an unintended thing, and it WAS something that they didn't want to be part of the game. Given it was such a simple thing, it was very easy to patch out compared to trying to patch the other issues.

I’m not one to give bungie a free pass, but this argument is really nonsensical. Bungie probably doesn’t know what’s causing the Audio issues. It’s going to take dev hours to figure it out, code a solution, test the solution out, then get it ready for deployment in a patch that they probably only want to release with a bunch of other fixes. Fixing the shard glitch was, first of all, not their first time. Secondly, their fix for the glitch was to remove the guardian games class item from being claimable from collections, which was a VERY trivial thing for a dev to do to stop the glitch from being further abused. The complexities of the two issues are worlds apart.
-
4 RepliesTheir "fixes" are hardly fixes. They merely turned something off to stop the farm. The audio glitch seems much more complicated, without such a convenient work-around.

Bungie deleted my medallion cloak skin from the game, which is my favorite

Bunge suck

But we still have this going on https://youtu.be/Fb_KvEf63uc

2 RepliesEdited by llehctim787: 4/22/2023 6:52:21 PMI wish I was shocked but frankly I feel like they just want to pump out the rest of this game to quickly be done with it so they can focus solely on Matter. Their spaghetti Code on this game is starting to hit the players hard. I will not be buying their next title. If they continue destiny in a new engine instead of the same engine that they used for halo reach, then I will gladly continue my Destiny experience. Outside of that there are better game options available with companies that do not ignore their money makers.

.... Seriously ? To fix the shard farm all they had to do is to locked a piece .... Audio issue is an entire different issue ...unless you want them to remove all audio until they fix it .... These aren't even close to be the same
-
5 RepliesMy two cents is that since the Shard Farm was something they've already patched in past a couple of times (if I remember correctly), probably they already knew what to do and how to fix it kinda asap. Audio Bug is probably something more complex, like the Gogolroth scream when wipe occured that took few weeks.

5 RepliesEdited by Pistachio Bandit: 4/22/2023 10:09:23 AMFor all the people that know absolutely nothing about software development….. Any change that happens in the live game has to go through a Change Approval Board before being implemented, no matter how small the change is. So Bunghole had to get approvals and submit an Emergency Change Request, then wait for it to be approved before patching the shard farm, no matter how easy it was to accomplish. All of this effort is required every time they patch anything beneficial, or broken. If they go through all this, like the world is on fire, when we are having fun, why can’t they be this adamant about fixing the game breaking bugs?
-
1 ReplyThis is some old guard developer stupidity and Bungie can’t just, I don’t know, give them a different job. “But I made halo” no one cares.
-
Maybe later, but we fix shards farm 🙃

Wasn’t it that it was screwed up…after the hotfix?

Edited by Lupin: 4/22/2023 12:56:20 PMOn pc disable any sort of sound enhancements in windows such as 3d audio and it will fix it. For console do the same and make sure any fancy audio tech for you headphones/ speakers are disabled in your console audio settings temporary fix but one that worked for me
