Remove Rift from competitive
It is a HORRIBLY made gamemode that should not exist in the franchise anymore and only further ruins new competitive as a whole. Even though S&D is the worst gamemode in all of FPS, I'd still rather Countdown than Rift. Worst decision possible for this comp. Makes me want to boycott any Rift match if it wasn't for the poorly crafted suspension strikes and no point protection even if your network gets actually DDoS or your "servers" say a hiccup is in order. And let's not forget a match starting with people missing or someone leaving and we're still expected to play on like we have a chance taking the point loss like nothing's wrong. Disgraceful for a game over 6 years old.

This is why I went from a crucible main to literally not opening the game in months until recently. And my crucible comp score is STILL at 0 because I'm NOT playing Rift anymore. I'm tired of it and they absolutely, without question, flat out refuse to remove it or move it somewhere else no matter how many times, no matter how often, no matter how frustrated, no matter how low player numbers became. FFS, when they introduced Rift in comp, player numbers dropped to the point I couldn't even GET a match in solo cue. Cure? Remove solo cue! Don't FIX what MADE people stop playing, just remove the OTHER stuff. I have to agree with the rest of the people in the forum. I don't think Bungie themselves reads their own forums. There's no possible way you can read these forums and come to the conclusion Rift was a good idea. Remember what this forum looked like last December? If you found a single page that wasn't at LEAST half "**** rift", "wtf is this rift B.S.?", etc, you were lucky. Some pages were almost entirely Rift frustration. I still check the crucible options a few times a week and it's always the same B.S. "If you want 3v3's, you're playing Rift". And since I'm not playing Rift, the entirely underlying reason to even bother playign the game has vanished. At this point, I'm playing out of friend loyalty and it's THE last time I'm buying content for the game. You don't financially support something that you literally have no say in. And honestly, how much louder could we be? And it's not a guess people don't like Rift. I've seen the polls on Reddit. There's as many people who hate Rift as there are "Undecided" and "like Rift" COMBINED.

It has gotten to a point for me that if I see rift in comp I just leave and go touch grass for a while and come back later, feels bad for my team but they are usually new lights or people that also leave before me so I’m not feeling to bad about it but it still sucks

Comp needs player leave protection, BETTER SBMM rankings, and actual player protections for server-side network issues. I'm not saying that if you turn off your wifi you should be protected from rank loss, but if the game error codes you for common server errors (Think spikes in WEASEL or BADGER or PLUM because BattlEye actually doesn't work half the damn time) you should at least get half rank loss or full protection depending on the error code. [b]ALSO BEFORE ANYONE SAYS OTHERWISE THEY KNOW WHICH ONES ARE SERVER-SIDE, THEY LITERALLY HAVE TO KNOW TO GIVE AN ERROR CODE[/b] Rift also shouldn't be in comp because of how it was built. It doesn't give a fair chance for a comeback if you get killed while the other team holds Spark (Midtown literally spawns you in the enemy spawn if you die while the other team holds Spark) and the mode doesn't even play on maps that support it well. Having 3 lanes on a map doesn't mean it is good for Rift, NOT THAT IT MATTERS because Rift goes on small and large maps regardless of whether it would play well.

I like rift. However it should definitely not be a part of comp. Place it in the rotator mode along with mayhem/scorch/countdown

IMO, it is really only disliked because it actually requires some level of thought/coordination other than just essentially getting kills. Survival and Showdown definitely have the problem (at least solo-queue) of players running in by themselves and getting wasted, causing an immediate disadvantage. Rift kind of forces you to play around an objective. That being said, some of the Rift maps just suck.

tbh i don't mind rift in comp as long as its the correct map. Its more complicated than the other 2 modes and actually makes you think a little bit more. I actually enjoy the fact that i have to wipe the enemy team 2x to get close to dunking.

I win more of my Rift games than anything in Comp, mostly because people aren’t coordinated enough to play it
