The whole thing is due to today's update for Windows Defender. Here's an explanation, but in German. I think Battleye has to fix that, or Bungie has to patch the client with the new version. Yeah, thanks, like what I found. It's not just D2 problem, tested with ARK (also BE protected) and it's crashing there too. Funny enough EAC is working fine. Welp, as it's required for playing, I'll just continue to take a break from D2 till they fixed it (even if it's BE fault Bungie [b]is[/b] responsible for it as they are forcing that garbage spyware on us). LF Deluxe version is proving again how much ID:10T I was for preordering it.
