Guardian Ranks insurmountable obstacle
I'm not that great at Destiny 2. I'd say fair to middling. All my friends that I play with daily are significantly better than me. None of them seems to care. Maybe I'm funny enough that it doesn't matter. We do all the things. Raids, GMs, IB, Not Trials, etc. I've enjoyed working my way up through Guardian Ranks with them, but now it appears that I'll come up one activity short of Rank 11:
Solo Spire.
I've tried it enough to know that it's just not going to happen.
I'm not going to quit or anything. I love the game. But it feels bad knowing that all my friends have or very shortly will hit that milestone, and because I have less than stellar hand/eye coordination, regardless of how hard I try or how dedicated I am to the game, I'll never get there. It just makes me want to log off and do something else for a while. Just my feedback.

2 RepliesI’m level 7, solo player and there are lots of things 8 requires that I have no interest in doing, so I won’t. It’s a big game, and I only do the things I find fun.

2 RepliesIf you just want the clear I would suggest making a solar titan restoration build. It's a bit cheesy, but it takes away pretty much all the challenge. It may take you 4-5 damage phases, but at least you can't die.

3 RepliesEdited by DonaldTaco3: 4/18/2023 3:08:00 AMjust a quick suggestion if you want to continue attempts on your warlock: abuse starfire protocol before it gets nerfed this exotic turns the entire dungeon into a literal cakewalk - especially the last boss for the harpy I would recommend using izanagi’s burden and a rocket launcher (you could also use leviathan’s breath WITH the catalyst) [spoiler] i would recommend that your rocket launcher have any of the following as a bare minimum: •autoloading holster + (any perk) <— synergistic with izanagi’s burden + fusion nades •demolitionist + (any perk) <— synergistic with fusion nade spam •field prep + (any perk) <— higher DPS possible examples below 👇 •autoloading holster + lasting impression (an easy one to get is palmyra-B) •autoloading holster + explosive light (also palmyra) •autoloading holster + chill clip (palmyra) •demolitionist + chill clip (palmyra) •demolitionist + explosive light (the blowout) •demolitionist + clown cartridge (hothead) •field prep + clown cartridge (hothead) •field prep + explosive light (hothead/blowout) •field prep + lasting impression (blowout) there are many other rockets, for example I use the timelost hezen vengeance with autoloading + lasting impression but switch between a field prep + clown cartridge hothead depending on differing circumstances. the above ones are relatively easy to get. •hothead —> legacy focusing —> see Zavala •blowout —> crucible drop / focusing / engram drop —> see Shaxx •palmyra-B —> world drop [/spoiler] for the last boss just spam fusion nades. use a gun that gives you damage overtime (DOT) so you can recharge your grenades. (e.g., witherhoard, osteo striga, etc). in any case, I’m guardian rank 6 and will stay guardian rank 6 because I CBA to do these pointless and boring milestones. i can understand wanting to increase it, however. just know that it doesn’t really mean anything. good luck

Be proud of what you have achieved. You should not measure yourself based on what other people did. Also guardian ranks are more useless than crow at the helm.

2 RepliesGuardian ranks means absolutely nothing. You shouldn't feel left out or that you have to complete it because your friends have it/ done it. "All my friends that I play with daily" This is what matters. Yes i know you can feel left out when everyone around you have something that you don't, but don't let ruin your fun or enjoyment of the game.
