It’s a casual game that also caters to hardcore players, but does so lazily. That’s why players who like to put in several hours a day continue to be frustrated. It wasn’t made for you, no matter what Bungie wants you to think. They want your money so they’ll pretend they’re catering to you, but they have no intention of doing so in any meaningful way. You will continue to get recycled content/skins and mediocre expansions and they will continue to try to convince you that it is not mediocre and that reusing stuff is acceptable. Fact is, it’s egregiously lazy. Just accept Destiny and Bungie for what they are: a scam. If you like the gunplay like I do, sure, by all means play, but do so with full acceptance of what it is and don’t give them more of your time and money than what you truly feel they deserve.

People are going to start realizing the extremely little amount of content we get in these expansions. Especially by comparison to past expansions. I mean, we all know the complaints about PvP maps and Gambit. But you hardly see people mention that LF was the first expansion to only have 1 new strike added. I remember when Shadowkeep first released and the community was white hot that it only came with 2 strikes. We use to get 4-5 per expansion and 1-3 throughout the year’s annual pass.

D2 - Kill enemies to complete mission to get loot, repeat until done/bored LoZ - complete puzzles to fight bosses to get loot, repeat until done/bored Dark Souls 1-3 - kill enemies to get loot to kill bosses, repeat until done/bored Mario - Clear platforming levels to reach the end to fight a boss, repeat until done/bored Apex, CoD, Halo PvP - kill enemies to win matches, repeat until bored Halo PvE - kill enemies to reach boss, kill boss, repeat until bored Seriously, pick ANY game from ANY genre and I'll tell you how it's just as repetitive as D2 is. Just because you notice it here doesn't make it any worse, or any better, than the rest. Find a new complaint. "It's repetitive" is getting...well, repetitive.

1 ReplyI feel the same. Just do what I do. I still play, but I give them no money until they earn it. I haven't paid for an expansion since Beyond Light, and that was one year after release. I haven't paid for a season since Season of the Lost. I've never paid for dungeon.

1 ReplyTake a break. I have been rarely touching the game for the last 2 seasons now. I play for a bit, but it's gotten so boring now that I just dont play. I've been playing pokemon Violet, Overwatch, Battlefield 2042, and Rainbow Six Siege. I've been having a great time playing those games.
