I cannot believe people are so invested in ranks.
For me, they’re good in theory, I just don’t think they’ve been implemented well.

If i see 11 at least I can understand that this guy can solo a Dungeon or clear a master raid so I can somewhat depend on him.

From what I remember, dredgen and iron lord can be played for free regardless of you’ve paid. That’s more of “how much time I’ve sank into this game.”

If you are actually invested and playing the game then you own the dungeons, I have a job $20 for something I can do with friends to have more fun messing with them then i will. Hell i can compete to see who finishes a dungeon solo first. The game has always been best with other people not alone by yourself Also, mattering on the Meta you named two modss where you compete against players. Certain meta gear may be locked behind payed content and you will be at a significant disadvantage by not buying it

Guardian ranks locks ranks behind dlc paywalls, making you buy the respective dlc. Guilding titles doesn’t REQUIRE purchases. Guardian ranks are the better representation of “how much you’ve spent” since everyone has to pay to progress though them.
