they dont force wins or losses. The matching tries to give each team as close to an equal chance as possible, which in turn works out to roughly 50/50 win loss. Steam rolling isnt fun for everyone.

Op here is only saying that the game attempts to match the teams up so each team has a 50/50 chance of winning. What ever happens next is anyone’s guess.
Op here is only saying that the game attempts to match the teams up so each team has a 50/50 chance of winning. If you "balance" the game so a good player is paired with bad teammates vs average opponents you are artificially lowering thier win rate yes? Because they must make up for a purposely done deficiency
-
If you really wanna complain about that then join as a 6 stack. Tho you will also be matched with a 6 stack and won’t be handed a win that’s for sure
If you really wanna complain about that then join as a 6 stack. Tho you will also be matched with a 6 stack and won’t be handed a win that’s for sure
So for a player to not have to deal with forced wins/losses they have to join up with 5 others....was that a serious attempt at a solution?

Do you really want the teams to be not balanced at all? So you can have bs matches , get matched with a 3 stack when you are all solos? Look you might not like having balanced teams but if you don’t wanna roll the dice on team members you have to come in with a stack. Plan and simple
Do you really want the teams to be not balanced at all?
100,000%
So you can have bs matches , get matched with a 3 stack when you are all solos?
There's nothing bs about matching a team of 3. I don't care if I match a team of 3, ill play as well as I can and if I lose good and if I win good. I don't need my hand held and to be "protected" from 3 friends gaming together which btw 90% of fireteams are average or below average just like 90% of the playerbase are...
Look you might not like having balanced teams but if you don’t wanna roll the dice on team members you have to come in with a stack. Plan and simple
Yes I do. I want fast games vs anyone and everyone. I don't care if I play 3 guys are having game night 6 beers in. Makes no difference.

Yeah I know the system you what. I’m gonna say d1 didn’t really have a good matchmaking system so huff your copeium. Only thing I think we can possibly agree on is SBMM needs to leave. But I personally think the trials flavour of SBMM is perfect and maybe even should be rolled out to IB
Yeah I know the system you what. I’m gonna say d1 didn’t really have a good matchmaking system so huff your copeium.
D1 had a great mm system so I have no idea what you're talking about, so did d2 at one point, forsaken pvp was perfect
Only thing I think we can possibly agree on is SBMM needs to leave. But I personally think the trials flavour of SBMM is perfect and maybe even should be rolled out to IB
I dont think sbmm has any place in any gamemode besides maybe some low tier preffered playlists. For example Trials should be win based Comp should be rank based 1 rotating mode of mayhem/momentum/scorched with sbmm for lower tiers All other modes pure cbmm with zero sb, fbmm or lobby balance
-
yeah forsaken and shadowkeep era PvP was great, before SBMM was added removed and added again like thats what the fans want. However Comp should be skill based or as you say rank based, you match with people in the same rank like in other games with comp modes. Trails flavor of SBMM only uses your performance from that weekend.

50/50 my -blam!- lol I've been below 40% win rate for the last 4 seasons 🤣 bungie couldn't balance a lobby of there life depended on it.
-
They do force wins and losses my dude
-
Exactly 50/50 which translates to forced wins/losses buddy
-
Man this community is just like the ow and doesn’t understand how 50/50 matchmaking works lmao it doesn’t “force losses” or “force wins” It seeks a match with the best chance of a toss up victory. There are so many variables at play in destiny in particular that it’s literally not going to be possible to get a fair matchmaking experience. You want something to complain about why not the dogshit netcode or p2p servers… those impact gameplay experiences a lot more heavily than sbmm ever could dream of. I hate 50/50 matchmaking as much as the next guy but don’t claim it’s something it isn’t. Bungie isn’t sitting their plotting on your specific downfall or ascension lmao. You are nothing more than a dollar sign to them same as everyone else. Streamers exemplify this more than normal players as they generate a ton of revenue for the game with free advertising so bungie caters to them frequently (“frequently” by bungie standards at least lol)
-
it doesn’t “force losses” or “force wins” It seeks a match with the best chance of a toss up victory.
So it doesn't force wins/losses it just pushes players who would normally win more often into matches they have a worse chance in while doing the reverse for players who would normally lose more often. And you don't call that forced wins/losses? This community is so odd lmao
There are so many variables at play in destiny in particular that it’s literally not going to be possible to get a fair matchmaking experience.
So stop trying to make it a "fair" matchmaking experience and let games in casual modes play out like casual modes should. Pure cbmm
You want something to complain about why not the dogshit netcode or p2p servers… those impact gameplay experiences a lot more heavily than sbmm ever could dream of.
Not really, cbmm pvp sees far less prevalent issues, it's only when bungie specifically try catering to bottom tiers the rest of the game has to bend over backwards and gets worse.

“No publicly linked accounts” your input isn’t needed or cared about ez block
“No publicly linked accounts” your input isn’t needed or cared about ez block
And your awful at pvp and need excuses to justify lacking any and all thumb skill

Edited by iKARUS: 4/11/2023 12:17:35 AMIt's not necessarily by the idea, forcing*, but how they implement the philosophy ends up being that way. Say you go 6.8 one match ina. 3v3. Your next match will give you two players who will need your 6.8 to carry them, say if they're each solo as well, one is 0.8 and a 0.46 The other team will even out an average to try and match your average. So, 1.8, 1.5, and a 2.0. Doesn't matter their hours played but purely on the few matches prior but majorly from the last match just played. Sometimes depending on how long it was you played last, that first match you play could just be the algorithms chance to get a round about idea of where to place you. There's been several times where my first match is the easiest of the day.
-
It is forced win/loss buddy. If it wants me to win a match I get all 1.8 or higher kda players on my team with 1 bot on our team then if wants me to lose I get all bots with 1.2 seasonal kda players while the whole enemy is 2 kda players. It’s obvious kiddo. You probably don’t play crucible often to notice but I main crucible I can tell all the small things.
-
No shot you have 5500 hours in crucible and think it’s forced win/loss lmao on ps too with a 3.0??? You prolly xim my guy.
-
You have 94 hours in crucible 🤣 I was right!
-
5.5k hours in normal crucible isn’t a flex, get on csgo and I’ll spawn trap you my guy. You literally have a 62% wr on your most played character for some reason that doesn’t look like 50/50 to me 3k hours on a character for a 62% wr isn’t forced 50/50 lmao I can’t Imagine playing 5 thousand hours of destiny pvp to begin with lmao. Masochist much? You have 250k kills in pvp man. Go outside. Also you ignored the Xim accusation huh
-
Imagine arguing on bnet of all things.
-
Anybody can “look good “ playing destiny if you teamshoot with semi decent people. Some people run with that and label it “skill “.
-
Just because someone's got better stats than you don't mean they're using Xim dude.
