Insanely hard

I have been a veteran since beta. There have been some difficult sessions in Destiny that we knew (as a team), if we persisted, we'd win. But this is impossible. After playing for almost 12 hours in the Master Spire dungeon - we quit. All of my fire team by any standard are considered very good players but this is not possible as a team. We are getting one-shotted, and brutalized even not even 5 min into the game! This isn't challenging - it is degp[ressing. We decided that would be our last dungeon ever because it is not even fun anymore. Please stop listening to the egomaniacs ( and I know a few and they are not all that good of pve players and they very seldom can the play with other players - they are more tolerated than enjoyed...) - and streamers that keep saying "It's too easy." The majority of your capital doesn't come from streamers - but the average guy/gal who comes home after work and wants to play for a few hrs. Remember that. You penalize those that rank up from grinding giving us 'caps' - What the hell? Stop constantly changing what was good and nerfing the crap out of exotics we spent hrs grinding to get... If people want a challenge - let them learn to play chess. But for the rest of us - stop making the nightfalls and dungeons idiotically hard - most of us do not have the time to grind and lesser time to play.     • Yeah bungie changed master, grinding to the master light lv does nothing as we are hard capped at -20. So far legend/master lost sectors are the only activities that don’t cap our light.

    • playing destiny since whenever is all good and dandy, but not if you're not evolving with the game, then playtime has no bearing on skill. I've been here since beta d1, I'm not using it as a lame flex, but I have been experimenting with all the new mods and ways to play, and find the game easier than ever before right now. my advice, fwiw, play around, mix and match, find the way you like to play and run with it. heck, you might find something others don't run, but it works for you, and that's all that matters.

      • a master version of something is supposed to be hard, and master versions are not even "hard versions", it’s just the bullet sponge difficulty mode. So you either run a decent build based on survival or simply get better at the game :p

        • It’s a master dungeon, the point of it is challenge. That’s why it gives good rewards in the form of artifice armor. But really this sounds like a skill issue. Also dungeons rare not a part of the recent difficulty buffs so it’s actually one of the easiest of the master contents currently. You just don’t seem to currently have the skill for a master activity.

        • You are playing master so automatically -20 light (capped at 1820) and don't have 100 resilience on any of your chars. Plus the recieved element damage is increased and probably not running resistance for those either...

              So, I agree that some content is no longer fun to do. Master dungeons now fall into this category, compared to what they used to be. However, I took a look at the builds being used by your team. First off, I see no one using either solar for restoration/well or void for devour(being warlocks). Both are great survivability options. You may not want to use those builds. But this is master content. Basically, bring the meta, or you are in for a rough time. Master isn't impossible, but it is not rewarding enough anymore.

                • The term veteran doesn't mean anything since 99% of people claim to be one, and yet somehow still suck at the game. Master content is not hard. If your team are 'very good players' then you really shouldn't be struggling. I wouldn't even consider myself good and I'm clearing Master stuff no problem.

                    You claim to not have time to play yet all your characters are 1830+ and yet still not able to do content that’s, I believe, a year old? I actually do have time to play but I choose not too and Im more than capable of doing anything they throw at us… assuming it’s a 3 man activity. Im also not even at the cap yet.

                    • At 1830 suggest you play this game a lot. I think this is a skill issue for you, perhaps you have hit your skill ceiling

                      • Double primaries is not the play. You'll have a much better and easier time if you take a few minutes and look at the mods that synergize with survivability, damage, and generating orbs. Game isn't "too hard" you're just too stubborn to invest a few minutes into figuring out what needs improving gear/mod wise. Also stop using double primaries.

                        • No way do I believe this user did any of D1's hard endgame content but all three of them spent 12hours in a master dungeon & couldn't clear it. If that IS the case, y'all have lost all of your skills & talent in video games because y'all have been spoiled with a super casual gaming experience. That's not the games fault. Master Dungeons are still a joke, they're just not as easy as they were in S19.

                          • Impossible implies no one beat it. On what scale are you saying you're good at the game. Cause that long in that dungeon is actually hilarious. End game isn't for everyone. Aspirational content 👌

                          • with a forced -20 under, these activities are basically ruined. even when on level they were HARD. constant champion spam was already ruining them. and we only ever did them for the seals, collect adept weapons once and or the artifice armor. tried master spire, master duality, other master raids, none of them are even worth anything, just avoid them. (for artifice armor non boss encounter, like sow first encounter is better) ALL of them are instakill in the first minute of gameplay. getting stomped instakills, backpack instakills, splash damage instakills (splash damage bug is still not fixed), wyvern boss projectiles instakill from 5 meters apart, 2-3 enemies shoot you, etc. BUNGIE, pls remove the mettle modifier from master raids and dungeons, they are the worst activity by far in any game, god of war on hardest difficulty was 100x easier than these.

                            • Master dungeons are pretty much meaningless after you have good sets of artifice armor, anyway. Not worth the added time and effort besides getting the seal. That's the only reason I bothered to even do master Spire once.
