So legend Avalon is still the hardest bs content in the game…
I play everything in this game but legend Avalon is just the worst experience for me.. Last seasons legend mission was fun and i did it all solo, but i can’t get this one done even with a fireteam lol
I like the harder difficulty that’s in Destiny since LF but this mission is just garbage and I don’t even care about the title or that glaive anymore…
I probably suck but never have i wanted to rage in Destiny PvE content like this…
Edit: thanks to the 2 awesome players Bore and Link who took me tru the mission and showed me how it’s done! Seeing i did it all wrong and it didn’t take that long! I actually had fun doing it this time..

What's hard is surviving those two damn Wyverns that converge on you at the middle boss before the safe zone hatch closes , always killed me with there last shot till I realized to go down with only a few seconds left and pop a healing nade or well down to survive The other 2 encounters are easy, cheese brakkion with wish ender, game over assistant, for the Vex -

Its all about having solid mate(s) to figure it out. Approach the strategy from another angle. It's a horrible 3xperience done wrong . when it clicked it was epiphenous

Yes, it is cause it's cheap. Tuesday they are decreasing the difficulty, you can wait till then to do it. I've gotten the 3 cats, I'm done with it unless someone needs help.

Seen your edit, really wasn’t sure why you thought it was the hardest content in the game. It’s not even close. Glad you got it done.

It is so unfun its not real. Couple of tips I used, void heavy machine-gun on first section, with auto for code, and void fusion for minotaurs. Slit mods for shield breaking - get so many supers. Second encounter use arc machine gun, pulse to damage through shield and encounters glaive to give you shield in pit. Last boss, same setup as first.

2 RepliesI run it on normal every week for the pinnacle, I was going to run it on legend to grab the three catalysts, then I remembered that the glaive has sat in my vault since I got all the secret chests so what’s the point. I play for fun and to relax, not to get all stressed out trying to finish a mission for a weapon I’ll never use lol

I tried to solo it today on legend, got all the way to brakion flawless first try but had to go somewhere, it's not hard at all. Just requires slightly more thought put into it

Assuming you are doing it on your warlock since it is the highest level try using a special weapon they help a lot

You can probably solo it on Legend easier than you can 3 man it on normal. The activity is a walk in the park after you reach Max gear. If you're not Max gear by now you're not playing the game correctly or you don't put in that much time which is fine but if that is the case then you need to realize the game isn't hard, you're just not up to par as a character, yet.

1 ReplyI've noticed with the Launch of Lightfall that Bungie has pushed even more ads in encounters than before. Respawn frequency and number spawned. Legend Avalon certainly posed a challenge for myself and a bud of mine in the beginning but once we had a science to it, we pushed out the catalyst runs in about 25 minutes. I feel Bungie is going to stick to this tactic with their plan for "Increased difficulty." I personally ran the Legend Avalon only on my Titan. I never saw a reason to run it on my other Characters. I hadn't bothered to run this solo myself but I will say that I personally didn't think the ads where tanky but definitely overwhelming if not constantly dealt with. I ran a Volatile Bubble build with Saint-14 and did fine. Cleared spawn waves in seconds. Commemoration LMG, Unforgiven SMG, and an Auto-load / Blinding Pardon Our Dust GL was my main loadout up until Brakion. Swapped my GL for Arbalest during the Hydra to use up the Special that dropped and swap back to the GL to have blinding for the Wyverns. Wish-Ender Brakion and profit. At least that was 2 manning with a friend. Bricks from Beyond enabled me to constantly use my LMG. My Titan used the Bastion and Controlled Demolition Aspects Magnetic grenade / Rally Barricade / Shield Bash Instability Fragment Starvation Fragment Undermining Fragment Not sure if this helps but I thought I'd share on what worked for me. Maybe it'll work for somebody.
