Someone has attached their twitch and epic games account to my Bungie account and has been playing my characters for the last 3 months. Bungie has no E-mail or phone number I can call so I've been trying to detach their account from mine but you can't even do that without his login info (which I do not have) I've been in contact with epic games but they say it can only be handled from Bungies side. I have usernames, photos, pictures the whole nine yards or proof. Hopefully Bungie will see this and help.

2 RepliesHeya - @SonicFusion would be correct. Section eight in our Privacy Policy states:
"We implement technical and organizational measures designed to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the information you provide on computer servers with access restrictions that are located in controlled facilities. Such information may be retained even after an information deletion request. If you choose to create an account through certain parts of the Bungie Services, you will be required to select a password. This password can be changed once you have logged into the service. It is your responsibility to keep your password confidential. Do not share this information with anyone. If you are sharing a computer with anyone you should always choose to log out before leaving the Bungie Services to help protect access to your information from subsequent users. Please be aware that despite our security measures, no data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot, therefore, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Bungie, and you do so at your own risk. Also, any third-party software you may install that interacts with any Bungie Services (“Illegal Software”), in addition to possibly being in violation of the Limited Software License Agreement for those Bungie Services, may create security vulnerabilities for your computer. Bungie cannot be responsible for the privacy or security of any data collected by the providers of such Illegal Software, which may occur incidentally to your use of that software (e.g. harvesting of email addresses, credit card numbers, and other sensitive personal information)."
tl:dr Players are held responsible for ensuring their accounts and data remain secure. We cannot disconnect any accounts linked. The first thing I'd advise is updating all your passwords and then reaching out to Twitch to see what options, if any, are available to you regarding the account in question.

Edited by I_Mir_l: 4/7/2023 10:19:01 PMAccount security the players concern and Bungie is unable to help. If you want help I would suggest working with your platforms support team.

2 RepliesAllo there, Unfortunately Bungie is unable to help in this situation as they don't have the login details of those accounts. You'd need to speak to the platforms themselves to gain access so you can remove them.

Hmm u may have proof but in my opinion For anyone seeing this 1st thing comes to mind probably everyone else u give out ur details maybe for some1 to do stuff for u on ur account, I'm not saying u did but that's the 1st thing I thought good luck getting ur account back

Why would Bungie have login information that you don't have? They don't keep milions of account login/passwords saved somewhere. You must be able to authenticate all linked accounts. If you can't then you are stuck. If Epic can't help then you are stuck.
