BattlEye Query Timeout / Plum Error
PLATFORM: Steam
SYSTEM INFO:
CPU: i7-10700K

ISSUE: Intermittently, I will receive the Query Timeout popup roughly every 10 minutes. Last time this happened I went through and made sure every single driver I had was up to date, added BattlEye through Windows Firewall, deleted the BattlEye folder and verified integrity of my files to redownload, and updated windows.
REPRO STEPS: Open Destiny 2 and try to do anything
ACTUAL RESULT: Within 10-15 minutes I will be kicked to the character selection screen because I will have a Query Timeout BattlEye popup and a plum error from Destiny.
EXPECTED RESULT: I login to Destiny and sink way too much time into Iron Banner.

3 RepliesOne thing I found out is the BattlEye IP I am reaching out to is in France. Why do D2 players in the USA have to reach out to a country across the sea to keep them from getting kicked from the game? Some shark is chewing on the undersea cable and losing my packet apparently...

Hi Guardian I have been expieriencing same issue, are you using controller or any this type of device? i found this thread on reddit [url]https://www.reddit.com/r/destiny2/comments/pel18x/battleye_query_timeout/[/url] and for me it was issue with xbox controller app was messing some steam settings, but also there are few other causes and fixes in this thread that people found very helpfull. Try it if You can and let me know if it helped. Eyes up Guardian

1 ReplyHas happened twice today in a 15 minute period. I feel like I'm going to need to start a packet capture on the BattlEye IP to see it actually stops responding.

I've spent so much time on this issue, I think we can only pray one of the Bungie Devs gets this issue too so they'll look into it. Nothing seems to help fix this issue, I've tried everything, it's maddening.

1 ReplyI've been getting these on and off for weeks. Just had 2 within 5 mins of each other, the first while doing patrols on Neomuna and the second while sat in orbit. I've done all the same steos as you, ie: fresh BE install, explicitly letting it through windows firewall, etc and it's never once made a difference.
