R6 siege and COD are working to stop third party hardware, destiny bans you for talking about it….
It’s become quite a big issue, players using third party hardware to gain an unfair advantage, which was killing these games on console, particularly r6 siege with no aim assist.
However the biggest one most players are unaware of though is it’s ability to mask mouse and keyboard as a controller, giving m&k superior control with the added sticky aim of controller, what can pretty much be considered to be on par with soft aim bot on other PC games. It also allows m&k on console, playing exclusively against controller players with a far superior input, and none of the drawbacks of m&k.

A M&K’s superior aim comes from the 1 to 1 movement it possesses. Meaning every time you move your mouse a set number of inches your reticle will move the same number of degrees each and every time. This is important because it lets you build the muscle memory that gives you this superior aim. Sticky aim messes with this 1 to 1 movement which means it messes with your muscle memory meaning it messes with your aim.

12 RepliesR6 and cod have actual pvp scenes. Destiny pvp is a random cluster fuk or insane aim assist and matrix bullets.

Just came across 2 players afk in overload. Unkillable and floating in mid air above all the enemies… I am sure they would not abuse this in pvp but one did have a 6 kd…

5 RepliesNot only they keep the aim assist from contoller... but you can change the input frequency to boost it like 400%.. same boosts for joystick movement to allow quick turns like a regular mouse does on pc.. so you dont move like a tank anymore. Damn, you can dowload preset gaming profiles... i saw all this on youtube... unfortunately i dont think anything can be done about it because the console reads it as a regular 3rd party controller.

Its just a time thing “Is it worth working on this when cheaters will just add a way to bypass it” because if they spoof the hardware then unless if you want insane deep anti-cheat that’s massively intrusive good luck

5 RepliesIts hard for the companies to take action because the devices rely on the firmware used by third party controllers, the only way we could truly stop it is by the console companies disabling all third party devices which wont happen as it would cause a huge uproar in the peripheral market.

If you haven’t noticed, Bungie is on that everything and everyone is accepted bullshit. Protect noobs at all cost, give them end game PvP rewards free, ect ect.

5 RepliesIt doesn't really matter. The makers of those devices will continue to improve them, and so they'll always be out there. All Ubisoft and Activision hope to do is scare people into discontinuing the use of them in fear of losing their progress, or not buying and using one if they haven't already. In R6, I can understand it more than in CoD though. Since CoD is a new (haha) game every year, who is going to care about losing their progress?

2 RepliesChange is coming. The new anticheat actually works (unlike fortnite, for now at least) and it’s active on all platforms. Not sure if the new R6 anticheat is active yet but it works the same way. Hopefully apex, ow2, d2 and every other pvp game follows sooner rather than later. Cheaters are in for a very rude awakening and I highly doubt any workarounds will be found.

To be honest, in R6 and CoD there is no giant hit boxes, therefore cheaters are extremely strong, unlike here. In this game, most weapons shoot tank shells so you can always easily compete with a hacker unless he is using some sort of hack to shoot x4 faster then it's totally possible to kill them I think it's just really sad that people pay money for hacks in this game, it's not even compet and any Top 0.1% player will still smoke you with blue weapons, I feel genuinely sad for them. If it helps, the XIM device is dogshit and a ponzi scheme, they give it to some random youtubers with 1k subs, he makes a video, more "people" buy it, they make more videos and so on, that device is trash and has input lag, the so called "focus scripts" are just what any end game controller like Raiju can do, also in this game Controller > MnK, especially if you play in console lobbies. The difference between PS5 players at 120fps and ps4 players at 30fps is a much more problem than Xim if you ask me.

Anticheat falls to Microsoft, Sony, and Battleye Go pester them (they might actually listen) because its not within bungie’s capability to stop the cheating. In game anti cheat doesn’t work well because it tends to limit real ability because the game only sees the output. Anticheat software looks at the input and the output and can determine if it is a cheat or not. If bungie could do anti cheat they could only take care of the idiots who make themselves invincible and have instakill type of stuff on not the subtle op stuff that cheaters actually use.

Agreed - this problem needs to be addressed. If Bungie solves this issue, they stand to make a lot of money (by either licensing their software or by marketing their game as "cheat-free)
