Difficulty has ruined the fun of destiny
personally, as a player who took a break last season out of exhaustion I bought lightfall with low expectations. However I have enjoyed a lot about the season. The one thing that I can't get over is the difficultly. I haven't even wanted to run strikes because they feel like nighfalls. I don't enjoy this. So either the difficulty needs to be decreased or there needs to be guaranteed good rewards for every activity as I no longer have the motivation to play for something that should just be an easy pinnacle but no longer is. Just running around the new area is difficult just for red borders to never drop and having to farm for hours just to get one. I don't enjoy this new system and honestly preferred the old when red borer had to be leveled because at least I got them more often and it felt more rewarding then now.

2 RepliesIt really isn’t that huge of a change. They even reverted some of the difficulty recently. I have noticed quite a number of people claiming the game is too difficult to not be running any mods or done any sort of build crafting. Put some armor mods on dude. If you want the game easier make it easier for yourself first.

Boss, if this game is so hard for you that it's unplayable or ruining it for you - gaming may not be the hobby "for you." Not every human is guaranteed to be able to be "good" at every possible hobby available to them. That doesn't mean the game is too difficult. It means you've realized a person limitation. It may be a disappointment due to how much you've invested into it. I know, I had a similar experience with Skateboarding. But I found music, mechanics, & gaming.

3 RepliesDestiny 2 used to be the kind of game I put on after a long shift and would just play. The more lax difficulty of the game at the time was perfect for winding down for the night. Now that game is elden ring, because it is as fun as it is challenging. Destiny has stripped away a lot of the fun factor. The biggest issue causing that imo was changing how the mods worked and removing/reworking all of the most interesting and fun mods.

Difficulty in Destiny is all about dialing up/down the dmg enemies take and receive.. and thats my biggest issue with it. Being forced to team up to deal with situations i could previously solo or spending way more time completing an activity just because enemies take longer to die or i have to take cover more often to recover is not challenging imo... its just frustrating, specially when the reward is just a big waste of time... sometimes players just want to pew pew stuff and have a good, respected, time... because not everyone lives to play this game.. and only this game.

This game is way easy with Titan suspend/ woven mail build. I completely ignore whatever champions there are listed because it doesn't matter. Just toss a shackle grenade and they're completely helpless.

1 ReplyWe are still trying to find the difficulty ya all complain about. The pre nerf legend avalon was Def a challenge... but doable. Now it's like a reg strike lol. I haven't tried the raid on master... maybe that's the hard part?

13 RepliesTotally agree with you on this. Casual players like me just don’t have time to grind with this higher level of difficult. I can get through it ok. but it is the time issue here. I hate to say but just stop playing. I kinda stopped. Doing iron banner this week some. I’m just tried of the grind. I wonder how the daily player numbers are doing.

1 ReplyThe only difficulty I have a problem with is the Neptune level...it's silly how a master lost sector is easier than the legend cuz you get your power level. Dropping ppl 15 below light makes leveling up kinda pointless.

I have done countless terminal overloads and nimbus rank up packages and heroic patrols and have gotten barely any red border neomuna weapons to drop its ridiculous. The the need for 5 frames just to craft and more of a grind to level up sucks but hey I've gotten plenty of machine guns and grenade launchers. I agree being under level all the time even when hit the max power cap is ridiculous and enemies always being above has made this game not fun. I'm by no means a casual but having power delta patrol zones on neomuna after beating the campaign and being 1826 and things still just hit hard honestly sucks.

Just do what everyone else is doing...play the nitefall for your strike credit. They made it so you can do a couple nfs and get pins for both. If you need to do bounties just run the heroic. You can change your gear then.

They even made things harder but people complained so they made things easier, so there is even less challenge. Red borders are based on luck and the farming method, people can get it done in 1 day or 1 week if you're unlucky that much hasnt changed that much from previous seasons. But previous seasons also had red borders that you couldnt craft they were just for mats. Just mess around with your builds if your struggling until something comfortable sticks. Do some solo flawless dungeons to get better at the game or just solo dungeons to start, it will help you get better at the game.
