Neomuna Red Border Weapons Drop Rate Abysmal!
I believe they have either stealth nerfed the drop rates of Neomuna red border weapons' or its bugged. Need someone to take notice.

It's August now and the red border drop rates for Iterative Loop for me are still absolutely ridiculous. Gold patrols show up nowhere near as frequently as they should, when they do, they only drop non red borders or some garbage legendary that isn't even relevant to the story. Seriously poor form. Please fix this if it is a bug, or up the drop rates, we're too far into this expansion for this to be the only necessary path to acquiring something we've paid money for.

I am entirely convinced they do not exist. I got a better chance of finding a unicorn than getting a single red drop for these things.

DUDE WTF IS THIS 😡 I need only 1 red borders fusion and got over 40 fusion rifles to drop not a single red borders for the past 5 days wtf did Bungie do this is ridiculous

I hear people complain about drop rates. This isn’t a complaint about that. I think it is actually bugged. I started out getting red border weapons on Neimuna. I did the quest and received the additional guaranteed red borders. Recently however, I have completed dozens of activities and have not received any red border weapons. So much so that I started recording the drops. Heroic patrol after heroic patrol and nothing but regular weapon drops. If this is a stealth nerf then the drop rate has been knocked down to a 1% chance. I believe it is bugged for at least some players.

Bungie please fix the drop rate of Neomuna weapon deepsights! I’m on my last weapon, and none of the heroic patrols are dropping it for me. I’m dying here!!!

Even if you could grind it all out in day. Since everything is rng that’s not a reliable timeline since heroic patrols are the only place they drop. They either Need to buff it so 1/4 drops a guarantee red border that you don’t have or let it drop in other places as well. Neomuna was a big let down it should be a complete war zone 24/7 not a ghost town. Plus if they are bringing matchmaking to terminal there really isn’t any reason to do it when even the drop rate for red borders is still so low from the vendor.

9 RepliesIt takes a day to farm all the weapons. Golden/heroic Patrols. Do those and only those. Keep loading into terminal zone and hop into other spaces to check for patrol. You may find 1 or 2 per refresh. They drop Neomuna weapons 100% of the time. If you stay focused, within 20 hours or so you'll have all 5 weapon completed.

Finally got the last one I needed. Level 59 plus all the heroic patrols and other sources. It is simply not a good system they have in place.

I stand with all of these people. This type of behavior just makes Bungie look bad. Run the numbers - there’s no reason to hold people back on something so small… I have completed over 70 heroic patrols AFTER I got everything BUT 1 Iterative Loop - I need one and others have it completed but you hold people back? No good. Please respect our time and respect the players

Ive done everything bar the heavy wave stasis gl, (which was the only one I really wanted....) Probably sunk 40 hours grinding but only ever seems to drop the hc, sniper, pulse and occasionally the fusion....

All red boarder drop rates are horrible. All of them.

Perhaps that is why it might seem bugged? You have more patterns unlocked than you originally did so you are seeing red boarders less. I bet you wouldn’t even notice a difference if the red boarders continued to drop even though you already have the pattern.

3 RepliesThis is my story. I farmed heroic patrols for a total of 16 hours to get to 4/5 red borders on all of the neomuna weapons. Since reaching 4/5 red borders on all of the weapons I have farmed heroic patrols for 40+ hours and not a single red border weapon has dropped. I have given up and had to complete the campaign twice more on my titan and hunter (I'm a warlock main) just to get the red borders I need to craft the weapons. I'm convinced the game was actively trying to NOT give me the weapons because there is no way after reaching 4/5 red borders I couldn't get a single one in 40 plus hours of farming. All I can say is Bungie's RNG sucks.

1 ReplyI think the reason it is this way is because if you do Legend campaign & epilogue 3 times, you get 3 free patterns for the fusion & Round Robin. So they wanted to make the last 2 patterns take a "reasonable" amount of time. But it's not reasonable, because in doing the legend campaign 3 times we earned that quick access to those two weapons! And the problem with making 2 pattern drops spread over a reasonable distance is since it's such a small number, you need a tiny probability to make that happen. And tiny probabilities are prone to pretty bad consequences if you're even slightly unlucky.

Not that I go back to Neomuna. But one reason I don’t go back is there is nothing worth obtaining there once you have the exotics. I gave up on gold patrol bounties because I stopped getting red borders. That was the only reason to visit Nimbus nimrod. Neomuna deserves it’s fate as a lonely ghost town.

Too -blam!- true. What a horrible grind. Who wants to keep endless loading into overload, checking all three zones for a legendary patrol, probably not getting a red border from it (I went 9 in a row without getting one), and then just continuing endlessly.

2 RepliesI have farmed for almost a week straight every night for pretty much the entire time I am on just on Neomuna and have not seen a single red border yet. Yes I still need a couple to complete patterns. I have even tried on different characters and every heroic patrol I can find. Even had others helping a couple of nights.
