It doesn’t matter as much in PvE since autos do whatever they’re gonna do (or don’t) either way.
But man.
Getting real tired of craftable autos (Ammit excluded) bouncing so hard that it doesn’t matter if you can max the range or not. If you can’t consistently hit shots outside of 23m when Shayuras and the Immortal exist, what’s the point.
I was pretty excited for a craftable 600rpm with what looked like good pvp perks on paper, but without all stability perks it’s completely worthless.
-
Just use ability spam, heavies, and fusion/sniper/gl since primaries are pretty useless when you’re 20 levels under no matter what.
-
Every time I go to use it on Neomuna it feels like a water pistol rather than a decent gun. :)
-
Bungie sure love their recoil, it's almost as if we're weak humans.. Meanwhile Doomguy: walks fast, doesn't need to run, shoots weapons without recoil, reloads guns quickly

1 ReplyEdited by THE K1LL1ONA1RE: 4/3/2023 7:25:01 PMZen Moment + Target Lock is what I’ll be crafting. Probably use Smallbore or arrowhead with accurized rounds and a stability or range masterwork
-
Yeah 600’s especially are in a really bad spot. Even crafting a balanced roll it’s barely outranging an smg by a meter or so while having a worse ttk

Craft Rufus Fury.

1 ReplyGeinded to craft this but this auto sucks
-
Any fast firing weapon just needs arrowhead break and the recoil becomes very manageable
-
Honestly, I don’t think any weapon should be able to hit max range while keeping enough stability and recoil so manageable sustained fire will always find the same mark. It’s why immortal is a bit OP. Low ttk, with high ease of use, at effective ranges beyond what it’s class should have. Not many people in my skill range have immortal it would seem, so I see very few. My crafted AR with zen moment feels to do alright. Maybe if my lobbies were full of immortals it wouldn’t feel so good as I would lose in range and ttk.

3 RepliesAre you on controller? I haven’t noticed it being that bad on mnk

2 RepliesJust get Rufus Fury.

6 RepliesEdited by Cal O'Mari: 4/4/2023 12:14:36 AMSo I crafted mine with Zen Moment. People really do not give that perk credit, but it is a fantastic perk, I feel. The actual craft is: Intrinsic Range Polygonal Rifling Steady Rounds Zen Moment Hatchling I have 48 range and 60 stability, 65 with enhanced Zen Moment. It pretty much becomes a laser beam😂. I can get kills off at good distances too. Except on Neomuna which is just an awful place with enemies that have way too much health. Nothing is satisfying to use on Neomuna. Its all a chore. Yes I did sacrifice range, I wanted to reach 50 or a bit over, but its still got some reach at 48. It was performing well even in Crucible, which surprised me. I did not have high hopes. Zen Moment and Target Lock is probably a pretty nasty combo too. Killing Wind and Eye Of The Storm are good. Higher difficulties makes those perks feel kind of useless to me though. I like maximum use for stuff. It varies person to person but this seemed like a solid middle ground to me. You'll have to sacrifice some range to get that steady.

Use Arrowhead brake, accurized rounds, zen moment, targetlock, demo or hatchling. You can use a stability masterwork if still needed otherwise go for range. Like this it beams.

So one thing I think would solve a lot of problems. We have damage fall off, and areas where aim assist and handling are optional... what I think we should do is add point blank damage bonuses. If a target is inside your minimum effective range the weapon deals bonus damage but is harder to handle than weapons like smgs or side arms. So they ramp up damage to compete at close range but the purpose built weapons are still better in their ascribed area of effectiveness.

Edited by HellsinG_lX: 4/4/2023 6:04:05 AMDid you try out Zen Moment? It should work wonders for the problem you just described. It eleminates reticle bounce and some other things. This plus eye of the storm should help you hit your crits when duelling (not sure how good target lock is on an auto since it has a lot of bullets in one mag)

Edited by Kouz_MC: 4/4/2023 5:32:24 AMI understand and feel the frustration. When new weapons are released, some of us go on gg and look at the possible perks. We then get excited, whether for pve or pvp purposes. We grind, get the roll we want, only to find out the weapon is trash. Unfortunately, Destiny is a meta, instead of a balanced, game. So searching online for what are the meta/strong weapons/archetypes to go after is the only way. Everything else is largely just a waste of time, and no, they will never be made good, that’s another delusional excuse to grind. Generally speaking, except a few toys here and there to give everyone a chance to largely compete (ikelos, calus, funnel web for instance as SMGs,) meta weapons are raid or trials weapons, with some occasional seasonal or NF adept ones with very niche rolls serving specific purposes worth chasing. In your case, you should probably go for 720s such as Rufus’ Fury, even if I find Gnawing Hunger to be the only viable PvP AR. With master raid and craftable adept raid weapons being a thing now, it could turn out decent, although SMGs will still continue to dominate, not just because of how PvP maps are designed, but also as illustrated by the various nerf and buff cycles that make them compete at range even with scouts and pulses, at least on PC, except back of the map kind of range.

zen moment got a huge buff, maybe try that?
-
1 ReplyYeah, I already recrafted mine... keep away feels good in PvE but there are issues because the perk conflicts/cancels other perks... so I recrafted it as a "fun" gun with hatchlings to specifically use with threadlings.
-
Edited by Xx RogueMerc xX: 4/3/2023 8:35:19 PMI crafted two of them. Envious assassin/hatchling and zen moment/target lock. Zen moment makes if feel really nice.

7 RepliesSpec stability on full auto weapons
-
3 RepliesIt needs zen moment, especially if target lock is used.
-
1 ReplyUse zen moment. They really made that perk good. Otherwise...yeah not a pvp auto.
-
I am most definitely not someone with an in depth knowledge of perks or PvP in general, but I used one with zen moment last night for my three games and was genuinely surprised how good it was.

3 RepliesPerp does bounce pretty hard despite stability perks. Idk what the deal is.
