I miss Vicarious Visions
The only time Destiny 2 had decent Content is when Activision was still around.
Now it's literally just that same content recycled and we're paying full price.

1 ReplyBeen saying this since 2019 when everyone was "celebrating" the split (Activision literally dumping Bungie). Everyone was calling it to be a great thing for Bungies creativity and to be a good thing for the franchise. Instead Bungie did what i always predicted. These clowns have zero passion, zero discipline, zero respect for their paying customers. Their main focus seems to be money, player numbers and satisfied content creators. Followed by fake wholesomeness, fake equality politics everywhere shoved into our faces and zero quality standards. One would think that a video game company with like 30 years of experience would be good at you know, making video games and having a sense for quality content...

Yea it was gd but it's future would have been bad sadly because the amout of time you would be buying destiny every 2 years like COD but more watered down and just imagine the Activision deal now if Bungie was still their you think so sony would still have Destiny then and Bungie would still be a studio IMO after Final Shape bungie need to create a Destiny successor on the lvl as Star Citizen,Star Field and No Man Sky with a new engine Marathon game sounds cool but hearing how it is it's basically similar to the game "The Cycle Frontier" a BR PvP/PvE game

Gamers pay others to play for them. It’s an underground practice and is frowned upon highly in here. Welp, developing this game is the opposite. Activision was carrying Bungie and they end up paying Bungie, the one that is being carried. Not only that, Activision has to bring in 2 of their own amazing studios to help carry Bungie while paying Bungie. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Now that Activision is gone, that’s how lazy these guys are. Story wise. I kinda see where you're coming from. It felt like it had direction. But the concept being conveyed wasn't so obscure and abstract, thus the grey in the black and white. Bungie really needs to hit it out of the park on the philosophical journey standpoint. Otherwise this 10+ odyssey is gonna be what all the haters and kids on the fence called it for years. Mediocre and a cashcow. But on the stance of game play, builds, and equipment. It's been the best ever. Even the sandbox isnt insufferable. Many choices work in the minimal playlist of maps we have. Even scouts work relatively well now!

48 RepliesWhen the split happened, Activision was the right choice to take over this game. With vicarious Vision and High Moon, we might have had an actual game instead of whatever this is 16 years later. Everything said about this business since D1 released that isn't a good thing at all is true, and their actions literally prove it, you can see it throughout the entire game, and it's why almost every original dev that had a say that cared about designing a decent product left this business. Even Deej woke up to reality.

Activision kept Bungie overdelivering with Forsaken, and they hated them for it.

they had a studio in upstate new york, they did rock band on tour. Interesting outfit, but they haven't worked on Destiny since maybe 2017. But if you want to talk about their DS development, they were legit.

You can clearly see the people who are hurt because they still, after all this time, think either Destiny is great or will be great. It isn’t nostalgia. They can’t handle the reality being blatantly said to them. It’s like an abusive relationship, they won’t leave, think it’s okay sometimes and will think it will get better.

3 RepliesTrue that. I think most believed that when Activision was out the game would improve, instead, Bungie got lazy and started removing and recycling the content. I don't believe that Bungie has made one improvement to the game since Activision left. What I miss is the strikes The Pyramidion and Savathuns Song - best strikes. Also miss some of at the time pinnacle weapons like the recluse.
