I've never seen worse PvP in my life than in Destiny. I think with this selection of players, Bungie could win the nomination for "the worst PvP game in the world". I wonder if the developer who is responsible for selecting players, plays Osiris by himself?
In four games out of seven, the game managed to pick me up opponents with 1000+ ratings than anyone on my team. I thought the selection of players in Dota was bad, but how wrong I was. My nervous system is completely destroyed by this selection of players, I've never felt so depressed in my life. Thank you Bungie!

I mean the game has an active radar 24/7. Why would you take it seriously? Plus everyone just uses hand cannons or shotguns, there’s no variety it’s the same -blam!- every year every season…
-
Crucible is the worst PvP that has ever been created.

Stats dont mean anything in this game though, if your a solo you'll automatically have a lower k.d. Jump into a pvp mode underlevelled you'll also take k.d hit. Doesnt reflect skill at all. Anyone can run around with a team and just braindead team shoot. So complaining its matching you with the 1000+ or whatevers irrelevent. PvP is fun you just need to get better at it. Pull a not fogotten from collections and focus on getting headahots. So many cracked guns atm.

Why tf are you playing d2 pvp

1 ReplyThank you bungo for reminding me why I never do trials. I did it once in D1, went flawless then, was ok. I am a filthy PVE loving casual (yes roast me etc etc) but I generally know builds and the sort of weapons etc to bring. Since then I think this is the first time I've ever actually done trials in D2. First match, just one guy on other team was a full masterwork and adept gear immortal wielding sweatlord, he farmed my team, like I think i managed to get a couple shots off here and there but blam 5 rounds of getting farmed. Chulked it up and thought maybe it was a one off or SBMM messed up. Went in for a second match, this time the whole enemy team were masterwork Adept loaded Immortal wielding PVP sweatlords. I quit after the second round. This SBMM people keep talking about, I don't think I've seen it in play yet, I certainly don't qualify to be in the Sweatlord league, yet I found myself playing against it. twice in a row.

7 RepliesAll they have to do is get rid of sbmm and pvp would be great again.

1 ReplyEdited by NotCreative123: 4/3/2023 5:28:10 PMI haven't ever played a game I didn't have a shot of winning Reasons I enjoy D2 PvP: 1) Build variety - There are a ton of unique and awesome builds that can feel totally different depending on how they're being used 2) Team Strategy - Because the TTKs are so slow, working with your team to get a kill is of the utmost importance. Everyone has to cover their angle and do their job to win against a good team 3) Positioning Matters More than Aim - If you're in the correct position and get first shot, you will almost always win 4) Less "luck" - Because you have the radar active at all times, you'll never get flanked or lose a gunfight you were not prepared for 5) Guns "feel" good! - When the game isn't laggy, primary gunfights feel much more engaging and have better pacing than in other games

4 RepliesWelcome to engame pvp where you are not catered

Almost never plays crucible in general but has the audacity to complain about being bad, astonishing stuff here mate.

My pvp experience has been lag simulator

Edited by Jones ~Æternum~: 4/3/2023 3:36:57 AMIt’s trash for so many reasons. They got their graphs out and don’t even address half of it. Weapon performance. Hit detection. Aim assisted controllers. TTK in general. Ability spam. Special weapon spam. It’s in such a bad place and I don’t think they really have any idea.

2 RepliesHey man if ur bad ur bad and I’m not trying to call you out specifically, but like I was like that too, but I was bullied cuz I suck so I got better pvp and pve if u just touch pve all day and barley touch pvp it’s not the games issue to wipe ur butt it’s ur issue just be better and honestly this ain’t the worse pvp like other season and previous after that is just worse from this so just get better and play more PvP if ur complaining about it this much

11 RepliesYet another REDEACTED that wish and need to win ALL the game, that all match are EQUAL, that NO ONE is better that HIM. Please cry more. They are better people that you, and you are better that some. Plase cry more each time you lost a game.
-
What do you mean? There is only 1 viable gun. Lobby Balancing has an intentional 50/50 algo to this day. Stacks vs singles metrics bungie referenced in the TWAB are an outright lie. Rift is the star of the comp play list. Everything is fine.
-
That is because the people that work on it have no idea what they are doing. I have heard an idea here and there and I would like to see It happen. Outsource PvP to actual competent game developers.

Edited by Jorentju: 4/2/2023 8:59:25 PMI'm so tired of trials reporting the people mm puts in team w me and they're all always negative KD. I'm not 2.0, but I should never be paired w a negative KD. Negative KD players should only ever be paired with and against Negative KD players.

1 ReplyHonestly, I have no idea why people are stressing about a game that uses 20yr old technology for its players’ connection. There are SO MANY games out that are pvp-centric and use modern code. Games where your gun skill and positioning are usually what determines the outcome. Not your build and how fast you can spam abilities. OP I feel for you, but dude. There are FPS PvP games for just about every genre. Big battle games like Hell let loose and Battlefield. Enlisted isn’t for everyone but is still some fun. Of course you have CoD and the twitch 6v6 and Warzone for BR. I love my FPS games. But I can’t scratch my PvP itch in Destiny. And that’s fine. That’s why other competitors offer different products.

1 ReplyNormally I would sarcastically talk down about the MM and just PvP in general, but holy sh*t. I was not aware of how many crutched players there really is in this game. I always wondered how I’d make correct decisions in 3s but still lose the fight. Now I know that the population is flooded with Cronus/Xim players. I’ve recently seen some of the known pvp scrim/streamers bragging about pretty much being untouchable in Trials now that they recently got their Xim. So I can actually say now with full conviction that this game’s pvp is 100% not worth playing. I knew it was pathetic, but my god not this pathetic. Spending hundreds of dollars on a already overpriced game just to feel good about yourself for winning with a significant handicap. That is insane.

10 RepliesEdited by Cervantes: 4/1/2023 9:05:47 AMI would suggest just straight up quitting the game. I did that five months ago with lack of PvP content being a main motivator and haven't looked back since. Let the PvErs run their 50th Raid, 100th Nightfall, 200th Lost Sector, throw their 1,000th grenade at the same door where enemies always spawn... If Bungie don't want to make a minimum effort to support their significant PvP population, they don't deserve your money and time. That simple.
-
At this point i do believe there's nothing they can do to make pvp feel better and be fair for everyone, breaking it to hell every minuscule update is proof of that. They are done with pvp they've been for a while. We are just a bunch of addicts holding on for that serotonin, and waiting the the next best thing to come around.

2 RepliesIf you get this depressed seek help. If you expect sympathy you won’t find much here. You complain about playing people better than you when that situation isn’t exclusive to you it happens to everyone. But anyways chill out play trials when the flawless pool is active , find what weapons work for you and play to your advantages. Trial report the players your with so you know who to follow. If your using a mic be communicating with your team and even if your not talking switch to chat so if they are trying to tell you something you’ll know. But most importantly don’t lose your cool but learn from your mistakes and capitalize on your opponents mistakes.

2 RepliesNot pvp is bad you are bad. Its a diffrence. What do you want? Training wheels?
-
Thats so sure what you say. And if someone mean, not everybody plays like Shroud or Zk Mushromm or whatever. Everytime im in Rounds there more worst player than me against Gods. Bullshit Balance in PVP. PVE is only same lame Grind every time for a next stupid Weapon. This Game sucks and is dead. 5000 hours later and my beloved Game must deinstall. Done with this -blam!-.

Edited by Grim: 4/2/2023 8:51:47 AMMy experience this morning, just wanting to do my bounties. Complete a control game Kill 5 titans Kill 5 warlocks Played my 3 games, all clash, all hunters, didn't see 1 titan or warlock. Every other player apart from 1 guy of the 33, where hunters on PSN, thanks to crossplay desync I could barely even damage anyone. Can't beat shooting a guy in the back, having to reload bcoz he's still alive, then him turning & 1 hitting you with the same gun you can barely damage him with. To top it off, my pinnacle was yet another weapon that's not as high as I already have & isn't the armour I badly need. Alts always seem to just get weapons :( Miserable experience

Hit the nail on the head: Destiny 2 is the absolute worst game on the market for PvP. By its nature, it cannot ever be balanced or competitive. Crucible is strictly detrimental to the game as a whole.
