Ok as the title. Whoever oked the artifact setup for this season is an idiot, do they think we only ever use one build or one subclass?
Every time I change from strand/solar/void I have to manually rebuild the artifact.
As most of it is tied to subclass you could just let us unlock it all without it being OP that or it needs to be part of loadouts.

I wish i could upvote this a 100 times

For those wondering Bungie can't have all artifact mods active at the same time. The game can only register a certain amount of mods. Mods applied after that cap simply don't work. If all the artifact mods were active then none of your armor mods would function.
-
2 RepliesThis is how it used to be when the artifact was first introduced. They later changed it because of complaints, i believe or just as a test. Not entirely sure on the reason.
-
We should be able to max out the first 2 tiers and then limited on the last ones. I shouldn't have to deal with artifacts messing with loadouts.
-
Yeah idk why they decided we had to go back to only having 12 points to spend. All this means is I pick the best stuff for 1 build and stay with that for the season. Too much effort to go switch it up when I don't really need to, and if I do need to, then why the hell can't it all just be there for me?
-
Completly agreed. Even iff all of the mods are unlocked you're still not overpowered because you can only build for a subclass. You still get the same amount of working mods for your build, so what's the point of constantly having to change your artifact!?🤷♂️
-
1 ReplyI agree with the idea of the artifact saving in loadouts. I would also like to be able to "turn off" one perk and the "turn on" another without resetting the entire artifact.
-
7 RepliesAgreed. Having to reset the artifact almost every day to fit a Strand, Solar, or Void build is arduous after doing it multiple times already.
-
Absolute stupidity,I think I spend as much time resting the artifact as I do playing! Maybe at least let us edit it instead of resetting the entire thing every time, it's really only 4 mods I'm changing back and forth.
-
5 RepliesI don't get why they went from unlock them all to only 12. Like why go backwards?
-
This. Just made a post myself about it and then spied yours.
-
If the artifact just saved like your load outs it would be fine.
-
1 ReplyBungle proves again and again that "The Team" doesn't play the game, or if they do they have a special test build on a PC that gives them everything. Can they really be this dumb?
-
2 RepliesIt should just save the artifact settings in whatever configuration it is in when you save it....it can't be that hard to make happen.
-
4 RepliesFirst, no need to call someone an idiot. I do agree with the issue though. One idea would be to allow you to create openings by removing one mod at a time instead of total rebuild.

Edited by MEAT-SACK22: 4/2/2023 8:07:10 AMComplain to Datto maybe bungie will listen to him. I’m in the same boat, wish you could unlock all the mods.
-
2 RepliesClassic “whoever did this minor inconvenience thing is an idiot” post. Love it. Stop calling names and throwing insults. Learn to have a conversation instead.
-
"We don't allow them to be part of load outs so that we can mildly inconvenience you when you change builds. Not for any good reason.
-
Edited by CookieNiki: 4/2/2023 2:20:17 PMOr at least they should implement a Select/Deselect feature. Having to reselect ALL of the perks because we want to change just 1 or 2 of them is S.T.U.P.I.D. design!
-
Yes exactly
-
So I think we should keep it what it’s at with some touch ups… With time you can unlock all 5 champion mods, then 3 mods in rows 3 and 4 and 2 mods in row 5. Make it so that we can un-equip the mods and after doing so we can equip another mod in that category. That way this will avoid having to reset your artifact just to change play styles. Making it more swifter on the go approach
-
I agree that the current system feels annoyingly redundant. Switching to a different subclass feels like a chore now because you have to respec your artifact. At this point, instead of optimizing for the activity, I either just brute force it or wait for the surges to change (Vanguard playlist).
-
Edited by WormChi: 4/1/2023 5:52:06 AMThey should at the very least let you deactivate one mod at a time and activate a different one without having to reset the whole thing.
-
It's completely stupid, and defies the entire purpose of loadouts.
-
Yeah seriously why did this change, I don't get it
-
Well unlocking it all is out the question, you would be far to powerful, but deactivating and activating single artifacts at a time seems like a good proposal.
