Emblem Sharing via account linking
Hey !
I have a Hellspawn emblem that my friend in my clan has wanted for a while and he mentioned he can link his account to mine and I can give him the emblem.
I have no problem doing this for him as Im confident he won’t mess up my account (friends for years at this point) I’m just concerned about getting potentially banned. I know we can’t do recoveries except for some special exceptions like trying out weapons or grabbing some items for friends, but I’m not sure where this falls.
I won’t be playing on his account and completing activities or anything. From what I understand I should be able to give him the emblem without ever actually logging into his account in game at all.
Can anyone confirm if this is against TOS and can get us banned? Any info would be appreciated !

1 ReplyAnd how exactly would you give your friend this emblem when it is associated with your account? Linking and/or cross save accounts will not migrate items from one account to another account.

Sharing your login information, or them sharing theirs, is a violation of privacy and is sharing your personal information. Sharing your login information is also against the ToS of most platforms, and is even against the law in some jurisdictions. Not only does it open you up to security issues now, but it can also cause more later on should your friendship sour. I cannot guarantee what Bungie will or won't do concerning it if you decide to go through with it; I can only give the information available. I personally wouldn't recommend doing it.
