Sunbracers work with Incinerator Snap, but not Celestial Fire. Clearly this has been an issue since Solar 3.0 dropped, but I figure I will bring it up again.

It’s Bungie if doesn’t break the game in the players favor or cause a community wide uproar they’ll never get to it. If we’re lucky this thread will be the one to get enough up votes and Bungie will at least a acknowledge it as a know bug. Cheers to Bungie’s arrogance and ignorance in regards to bugs in their game.

3 RepliesThe bug isn't Celestial Fire not killing, it's actually a bug with Celestial Fire's scorch. You see, scorch is coded so that it counts not as an independent damage class, but as the same damage type as the source of scorch. That's why having a surge or radiant increases damage of scorch applied by incandescent weapons. For some reason, scorch isn't registering as melee damage properly for Celestial Fire, and so when the scorch gets the kill, the game does not count it as a melee kill.

11 RepliesSolar 3.0 was the worst rework in every aspect. Horrifically unbalanced, removed identity from classes, and it’s a buggy mess. I wouldn’t mind a Solar 4.0 just to fix the trash they gave us.

I only use celestial fire because it has more range, works fine for me

6 RepliesYeah I switched to the snap because of it, but I'd prefer to use celestial if it wasn't so buggy.

4 Repliessnap better for ignitions anyway when combined with Phoenix dive.

Each of the 3 bolts of celestial fire apply scorch, and they each hit at slightly different intervals. If you are unlucky, the scorch from an early projectile will kill your target and will not count towards proccing sunbracers. Incinerator snap is much more consistent for this purpose.

[quote]Sunbracers work with Incinerator Snap, but not Celestial Fire. Definitely could use some fixing.

Yea I can’t believe they haven’t fixed this yet
