Stasis, Strand, Shadow
The three darkness subclasses and how they were/will be acquired:
-Stasis from Elizabeth in Europa
-Strand from Eris Morn in Savathûn’s Throne World
(Changed to Osiris in Neptune, because… Bungie)
-Shadow from The Drifter in [REDACTED]
(Could be changed to Xûr because he still has an important part to play)

2 RepliesNext Darkness subclass will probably be Resonance, its the stuff we see on the Pyramids. It will probably have to do with gravity in some way since we are told in Collapse lore they were attacked with Gravity weaponry. It wont be Taken because we already have that, taking is to control a targets will and control them. People seem to forget that’s literally stasis, two sides of the same coin.

3 RepliesIt's gonna be that orange pulse we see come from the pyramid ships. So far the darkness classes have been about disabling movement/momentum So what I think it might be is some sort of gravity manipulation. Which could tie into what you deem to be shadow for aesthetic sake.

2 RepliesMy theory is the last sub class is going to be harmonics/harmony my thinking is that in the mods every elemental has its own specific mod but harmonics is an outlier because it’s description is a duplicate of another element not only that the orange energy we see the cabal use is also called harmonics and in vow the wall has 3 opposing colors to the light subclasses being blue(stasis) green(strand) and orange which is probably going to be harmonics or whatever bungie decides to change the name to

1 ReplyIt's more likely to be taught by Mara Sov. If you listen to her dialog in the seasonal missions, she says things like, "soon you too will have this power." She is also basically teaching us how to use this new ascendant power. It will probably be something to do with mind domination and bending reality similar to the Witness and taken.

The power to take. Making minions appear, tanking damage, watching your back, or distracting an enemy, and blight grenades. I want the blight bringer titan to summon an ogre with his super that does nothing but slam and tank. Warlock can make a big disco blight , and hunter can take actual enemies in an area effect.

3 RepliesI think the next Darkness power needs to do with Time or Reality or something like that. We have power over the CONCEPTS of Control itself, the Mind itself, now all that’s left is Time or Reality itself.

I think shadow would be too similar to void, especially for hunters. Unless it used a bunch of "taken" powers. Get a blight grenade, or that damaging floor goop aoe grenade. Lots of slowing/suppression. Turn invisible while in dark areas. One of those Acolyte turrets would work. There is a bunch they could do with Siva as a subclass too. They need a Red colored power anyway.
