It’s probably an old unused d1 srl map recycled into a new destination.

I like how Bungie says they can't bring back srl since no one played it. but then puts sparrows in strikes, raids more

Neomuna itself is pretty cool yeah Just the npcs and the enemies are painful in all kinds of ways. The openness was nice for ranged weapons and the map isnt hard to follow. Its also not [i]just[/i] a giant circle.

I actually think tonally the map doesn't fit anything else in the game, if it was put in as a race track it definitely would have fit better.
