Some games are just meant for the constant grind and alot of it! If you can’t do it you will just inevitably be behind. Just gotta find games that don’t require you to always be on. Seems like most MMO’s are like this. Just casually play Destiny. But, If you’re like me I can understand the frustration. I want to have the best and show I’ve played alot. It’s hard to show that when you literally can’t play enough. That’s exactly what you have to do with Destiny.

I used to have all 3 characters, pinnacles & powerfuls completed by Friday, leaving the weekend & monday,Tuesday to farm stuff like banner, nightfalls etc The last 2 weeks it's taken till Friday to do 1 character, then I've not played all weekend. I'm tired, it's been 9 years & this is the first time I really don't enjoy playing. Everything in the game is tedious, the loot is awful, the play is slow, the community seems more toxic than ever, there's things not tested like dares & nightfalls where you can't hit scores needed without Rez farming , it's all just very silly

With today's patch, they have reduced difficulty in almost every activity.

I work a full time job and married and still can do everything in this game not hard really sounds more like people have a time management problem and need to use the right equipment for the job to get it done.

im gonna say something thats gonna ruffle a few feathers. the new difficulty settings would have gatekept lance reddick from the game. he was a "casual" player, with one raid clear to his name. he loved the game, why is it wrong for him to enjoy it as he was? Optional difficulty is the way to go, let people have fun.

What everyone is feeling right now is not the difficulty of going up in light but the mass that it is. This dlc is all recycled content, even the new heist (arms dealer) and a mission in the red war. For those who played destiny from the beginning, you can see that bungie no longer has anything to show, I think that everything it showed was at the cost of the activision partnership, that whenever dlcs were released there was something new, many things to investigate, exotic to win. Now it's all skin over old weapons, making season content is hopeless. You, like me in the past, were victims of the marketing they did, they hinted that something innovative and different would come, and nothing, everything the same. This dlc for me would make sense right after the red war. the content in destiny is completely lost, it is seen that this dlc only brought more questions that nobody wants to know the answer to. It's a dlc that some seasons manage to be better. 4 seasons!? it would be better to have 3 seasons and solve the interface and game engine problems. The game has problems with almost everything. Raid, what they call a raid, looks more like a robbery. The nimbus, anyway....... Play COD, which is much better, and wait for the game that Activision will launch as a competitor to Destiny, but with everything we want to see in Destiny.

If you are gilded conquerer you should have no problem with the difficulty changes. Also, you dont have to farm 5 strikes. You can now just do 1 master nightfall and get two pinnacles from it. But that requires reading and you are not reading this anyway, nor are you reading the pinnacle description. Yet here you are bashing without thinking.

The only thing I look forward to in Destiny anymore is Thursday or Friday. Because that's usually when I finish up everything I want to do for the week and can do something else.

The dlc was a complete rip off

Ive given up with the game....in its current state is just not worth the grind and grief......quite telling though that already on PStation they are are offering lightfail at a 33% discount.....

FWIW, here’s this old tortoise’s 2d worth… Been playing Destiny a while, have most of the ‘must have’ toys, the ones that I don’t, I’m not bothered about. The great ‘sunset’ debacle changed the way I played the game: with a Friends list that seemingly evaporated overnight, the whole D2Beta shift caused me to move on…to WarFrame (MR24 😎). Some time later…on a wave of nostalgia after watching some vids my son and I made, I got back into Destiny…only this time, I just pootled about doing ‘vanilla’ stuff, with the odd quest here or there… The change (evident to me) on how I engaged with the game was a sea change vs. D1. Lightfall: another sea change…once I got to grips with Strand, and cheesed Calus x3 on normal mode, I could explore Neomuna and stuff; which I am still doing… Being a patrol bod, the madness of OP enemies and stuff was a bit crazy at first, but, as i unlocked more Strand aspects and got to learn the wave spawn patterns, it became less of an issue; and more players seemed to be joining in the battles, which helped too. Some weapon quests - Avalon / glaive, I tried it and decided I didn’t want to bother with it again. I’ve just completed the 28-step quest - for a purple bow, the same bow that drops from just playing the game?! 🧐 Trials: I grinded my way to rank 10 to get a handful of pretty meh strand smg’s…the best of the bunch is a useful tool indeed. I also had some fun along the way…as a solo 0.3% old tortoise. 🙂 IB: i dipped into it for a few hours and had some fun there, too. But, what I’m doing is cherry-picking my way through stuff…on pretty much just my Strand Titan. My engagement with the game is rather elastic, and those strands are beginning to stretch mighty thin…😁 What I’m most looking forward to is to finish my 10-year compact with the Destiny franchise…which should be at the next (and final) chapter. Until then, I shall just pootle away as ever…no rush, no hurry, no worries! 😉 If I have one overriding issue with my time in Destiny, it is the appalling mismanagement of the game by the upper echelon at BHQ…and how they’ve killed this goose that laid the golden game of Destiny…and how they’ve treated this passionate, loyal Community of (reasonable) Guardians…excluding, of course, the BDF and other unreasonable guardians. 🙄 Anyhoo, I could go on, but that’ll do for now.
