See title.
I know on ps5 and steam you can appear offline, but your bungie friends on other platforms can still see you online.
Sometimes i just want to solo and listen to some music without having to explain to friends who want to play with me.
Thanks.

I agree with this ask. Privacy should always be an option when it comes to online gaming. Hopefully they make this a thing.

22 RepliesTo those that don't/can't understand why this needs to be a thing, you're who people want to avoid.

4 RepliesAre people that terrified of social interaction they can’t say “sorry I’m doing my own thing today, maybe tomorrow instead” And yes I’m aware of the irony of my username
-
4 RepliesIf you wanna play solo, do it. If you get an invite you don't want you have two options. 1. Ignore it. 2. Reply to it and say no thx. Are people so soft these days that they can't tell others to piss off? If you're worried about you boss seeing you online playing, maybe you should get back to F'n work.

1 ReplyIf this is a problem maybe they aren’t your friends if they keep bothering you ? Easiest solution is don’t keep em or add people like that as friends . Worst they could do is message you and no one is forcing you to reply to them ? Don’t get the mentality of need to reply ? If you are truly busy just ignore them , if they keep messaging you delete from friends or block them . There’s nothing they can really do that would require you hiding ?
-
I have a work around…. Delete all your “friends” if they are such a hindrance.
-
While it wouldn't be a bad option to have....just set your fireteam to closed and ignore messages/invites. Most people will take a hint if you don't respond and later when you do talk to them just tell them you were just doing some chill stuff and having some quiet time. Once they know thats a thing they will get used to it.
-
While yes, the option should exist. If you have friends that you can’t be honest with, you should really reevaluate those friendships. If simply communicating that you wanna have some time to yourself isn’t working, break away dude. I don’t mean to preach, I just been there. Run, my guy.
-
Just tell them you’re chilling and don’t want to team up. If they have an issue then you have som things to consider

I have this all the time. We are in a discord together, 700 of us. That's a lot of people that want me for something every day. We teach endgame so there's a reason they reach out to me. If I'm not wanting to teach on a day, I just post a message. "Hey guys, just planning on doing some solo content today, if you see me on and I don't respond, thats why." They respect that. And someone that doesn't, usually isn't around long.
-
2 RepliesThis is a joke. Can't you just tell the players you are trying to avoid that you don't feel like playing?
-
Send a quick message, or ignore them. Problem is solved congrats.

Edited by BOSSNONO254: 3/29/2023 6:58:56 PMI either say I’m busy right now or ignore request/invites. It’s easy as pie. May make you feel bad sometimes but it’s better than doing an activity that you grudgingly accepted and opted in to do with someone.
-
Just remove them if you're that worried about it. Stop being such a snowflake.
-
So you’d rather bungie develop you some digital -blam!-, rather than use the ones you have.
co-ho-nez
-
If I want to play any game solo, I just tell my friends so. True friends understand. Anyone who don't can be promptly deleted.
-
Bro then tell them or just ignore them why would you be obligated to play with others? 😂 you can even set your fireteam to closed so they can’t join at all.
-
Just tell them your solo, literally as simple as that.
-
Remove them all. LFG when you want to play with others.
-
l feel you, buddy Since we don't have this option the only thing l do is put myself on Busy and set my party to invite only. l have people on other platforms who can't msg to say that I'm busy because they don't have the whisper option on
-
I get it as I’ve had my own shares of experience with that. Just wanna say I feel sorry that you’ve had to put up with people that don’t quite get why someone might not want to play with another who invites them but doesn’t quite want to just say no or have them Unfriended. Have a good one and I do very much agree with this idea you’ve brought up.
-
Imagine having friends.
-
This is such a bad take

Edited by x Anubis x: 3/30/2023 12:48:37 PMFYI, even if you're offline on steam or any other platform, you still can see your friends online using guild/friends management from Bungie Page or Apps. So you won't avoid it.....Bungie needs an option to set offline/invisible inside their system too. So being offline means nothing... if they see you online inside Bungie and just use /join code to reach you... so u need to be offline and set your setting to closed inside game to avoid it, but people still know you're online playing lol.

1 ReplyI like being able to spy on my buddies, just to see what they are doing.

1 ReplyEdited by Tru-Zrue: 3/28/2023 5:45:12 PMAgreed. Part of the reason I can’t do clans. I just wanna play solo most of the time and on rare occasions team up. Nothing against anyone.
