The Variable quest is bugged
In the hidden quest "The Variable" after the first main encounter with the Vex you may get a pop-up that says 'New Objective'. Only it doesn't work. If you die you go back to the beginning of the first main Vex encounter. The blam! quest is hard enough, but having the lie that you completed an objective is just rude.
Anyone else see this happen? I know this is a waste of time because Bungie never acknowledges any of my issues. I have found several and documented them here, but none of them are fixed. Seriously, do they have any type of customer service or contact?

Here it is two weeks later, so I tried running the quest again. And just as I thought no fix! It still says objective completed and still sends you back to the beginning when you die.

1 ReplyNot sure it’s a bug. Avalon is set up the same way. I unlocked the first gate but died before I could reach the start of the second one…. and went all the way back to the start. The got back…died while trying to unlock the second one…and got sent back to the very start. That’s when I bailed. I have little patience for activities that show that little respect for the players time…
