You gotta be a special kind of idiot for making a idiot proof dmg perk on a weapon with one of the fastest and most forgiving ttks.... not idiotic at all and now how ever you gonna go about it, Bungie, you gonna look like idiots for either nerf or let it be...
-
It's the combo of Immortal's already stellar stats, combined with Origin Perk, combined with Adept potential and then having both Rangefinder AND Targetlock available. Target Lock ITSELF isn't the issue. It's putting it aggressive SMGs and the TTK shift that provides and provides up-front without any other kill. Now they're in the position of having to nerf ALL SMGs, and ALL weapons on all archetypes that feature Target Lock because they can't or won't hit the Immortal itself and/or it's clear OP perk selection.
-
The problem is rangefinder like it always has been.
-
Not sure what is funnier...that fact you think this is why they are idiots or that target lock is that good. TL is forgiving that is all....ttk does not change all that much if any. Its kinda like prenerf recluse but worse. You want a TL smg...go get the stasis version prolonged engagement. Its a 900rpm and its to much fun running up on an Immortal user and going "surprise muthafcker!!!!" What broke the gun was mainly rangefinder as always. Rangefinder has always been an issue for a long time. Without RF. Immortal is ok just like shayuras and others.

2 RepliesEdited by CUROCH: 4/1/2023 7:41:47 AMMost people asking for a nerf just run out there and get melted.
-
7 RepliesGee it sure is fun watching the entire community sob and whine and demand nerfs every time a decent weapon dares make an appearance.
-
9 RepliesEdited by $hirtless Captain Kirk: 3/27/2023 12:57:50 AMIt's not Target Lock that's an issue, it's SMGs at base. Even subs that cannot roll TL are mega OP and have been for at least a year. TL does low key nothing on a sub. 9 shots to kill with or without Target Lock. So the thing calling it moronic is a bit much considering you got it wrong.

Anyone who crutches the automic win button known has Crimson that completely aims for them should never complain about any other weapon You what they say about stones and glass houses
-
It’s more a controller issue … but target lock should be removed
-
Yea that was kinda idiotic but the main issue what they shouldn't have done is give SMG rangefinder that's basically going into auto rifle territory and making it more obvious that smgs are better then auto rifle that constantly being overlooked SMG need a range cap and rangefinder perk need to be removed and replaced with *Zen moment *Heating Up
-
Imagine they unnerf Multimach but give it Target Lock.
-
Target lock + head seeker messenger
-
-
Now imagine target lock on the devils ruin or a rapid fire frame sidearm.
-
I'd love to have target lock and headseeker on an SMG.
-
1 ReplyIts a .56 ttk, wtf. I thought recluse was bad or last word when it was aiming for you but this immortal peaks any meta we have had in years. Its funny how fast bungie is to disable weapons and exotics for raids but they never bother to disable stuff thats running rampant on pvp.
-
Just use it as well and then it’s fair
-
you gonna look like idiots for either nerf or let it be...
So the smart thing to do would be buffing it?
-
... idiot for making a idiot proof dmg perk on a weapon ...
... idiot for making an idiot proof dmg perk on a weapon ...
-
To add, TL is far better on faster rpms so it can ramp up quicker. The 750 rpm has nothing at all to do with this weapons goodness.
-
I don't think it was an idiotic idea at all. It got a lot of people playing Trials, and it will be nerfed eventually. I think it's a cheap tactic, but not idiotic.
-
1 ReplyOr you could stop running into bullets.
-
True. But the truth is it got cheese lovers flocking into Trials. So, from Bungie's pov, job done. It simply doesn't belong on an Aggressive frame. And it's made worse by having RF available in the other slot, rather than having players choose between that and a damage perk.
-
Target lock probably shouldn't proc on ANY weapon when optimally used. A 450 auto jumps up 5 damage on the last 2 bullets, making it more forgiving to use on top of more lethal just for SHOOTING PEOPLE. It's just magnificent howl but for automatic weapons.
