The updated LoS and Arms Dealer are absolute TRASH

The Arms Dealer went from being one of my favorite strikes, to being my least favorite strike, the new plot is lazy, instead of just the strike taking place during the red war, they just made it so that the new Bracus Zhan is a successor to the previous Bracus Zhan, BUT THEY LOOK THE EXACT SAME SO YOU CANT TELL THEM APART! The original Arms Dealer had everything you could’ve asked for, it was short, it was fun, and it was great for farming. However this “New and improved” version has nothing! They took one of the easiest strikes in the game, and made it one of the hardest. AND THE BOSS IS HEALTH GATED SO NOW YOU CANT ONE PHASE HIM ANYMORE! And don’t even get me started on the Lake of Shadows rework! THEY MADE IT AN ESCORT MISSION! They turned something perfect and made into a pile of trash! Bungie I swear to god, please revert the strikes back to their original form!

  • I think this is just skill issue because the arms dealer is pretty much the same duration. I genuinely don't know how you're having issues with this.

      • The strike is really easy, I’m just struggling to get 200k not enough enemies to get there. Have to cheese the damn thing to do it.

        • The change I think is meant to stop the players from rushing the strike and the boss fight especially on Grandmasters.

        • This is what happens when they try to make the Strikes in line with the Battlegrounds they shoehorned into the playlist. We get boring, drawn out, unrewarding, activities that just turn into time vampires.

          • I ran the new Arms Dealer NF several times this weekend. The only really big difference is you can’t one phase the boss before he even moves lol. To me it’s more like it should be.

                  My greatest concern is that Bungie decided to "rework" those two Strikes after 5 years or more. This had to be done much earlier and in a different way. Bungie knows very well how players feel about health gathed bosses and phases where you have to wait for "something to be completed in order to proced", and yet that's exactly what they added in the Strikes...

                  I don't understand bungie at all. Strikes are supposed to be done over and over. From a gameplay perspective you don't want that to be slow. You don't want that to have narrative dialog. It needs to be quick, action packed and no narrative. It's a surgical assassination. Clean and efficient. People do them multiple times a day, so it should all be designed with that in mind. edit: And when I consider how long this studio has been doing this, it's pretty hopeless to think they are still learning these basic things.

                • The thing is they both needed reworking as they.where both incredibly easy to run. There was zero challenge there to either strike, even in nightfall difficulty there was nothing to it. The problem is that bungie have artificially lengthened the play time with escort mechanics in LoS which just feels wrong. The arms dealer strike is alright apart from those turrets in the boss fight, that feels cheeky AF to me... The enemy density in both strikes feels right it's just the artificial length of play time that really gripes me tbh
