Simply put, there’s zero benefit to it being a Fusion Rifle and it’s actively detrimental for its use.
It functions exactly like an Auto Rifle but because it’s labeled as Fusion, this critically prevents it from being able to take advantage of anti-Champion mods which means it ends up benched for regular and Grandmaster Nightfalls as well as other endgame content involving these mobs.
I love this weapon and I want to be able to integrate it into running endgame content, but I just can’t simply because it’s a Fusion Rifle and it’s very frustrating.
If any Fusion Rifle was to be converted to Auto, shouldn’t it be this one? Out of all Fusions, this functions like one the least and like I mentioned there’s really no benefit to it being one whatsoever.
You wouldn’t even need to really adjust stats either, just change the designation from Fusion Rifle to Auto Rifle and it’d immediately become more versatile without making it more powerful. Please consider it?

4 RepliesGive it Radiant and it gets anti barrier, Plus what ever fusion mod comes around in any future artifact. Rain of fire is great w Vex.

first of: no Second: its lore wise a Fusion Third: Changing it to be an AR would maybe F*ck up its design with the Linear fusion shot fourth: lets hope we get next season or whenever a mod that makes Vex Hella Cracked again... i love my Vex

5 RepliesYou'd have the same issue in any season where auto rifles don't have champion mods if they made the change.

Or give it an intrinsic champion mod....
