The streamer hippocracy in full display
Lmfao, Friday streamers flooded youtube with "The Immortal is the best smg in the game ever," so tons of people paid their recovs and got it.
Now the videos are the exact same streaers crying the weapon is oppressive and MUST be nerfed now because to many have it. They are the exact cause of all your issues. If those videos had not been made then maybe 5% of the people would of had it.
When will you people wake up and see they are destroying this game in more than 1 way? Stop supporting them like they are your kids in the basement.
Imagine D2 without the constant never-ending streamer videos telling everyone how to play?? You would have so much diveristy in builds and loadouts. Would be a totally different game. One of the reasons D1 was so good....streamers didnt dictate every little thing down to the. Olor to use.

But them and a few other people complain about the new Mercy card changes coming to season 20-21 and so on. Where you can essentially have two losses if you haven’t gone flawless this week and your card will not be flawed until that third loss. So I can lose two games and still be able to get flawless if I don’t lose anymore games. And man I just want to say that will come in handy for a lot of people and I find it as a good addition. But I’m just waiting for those complainers to do their complaining when the time comes. It’s inevitable I tell you.

Couldn't agree more with op and their sentiment of us players, curving the platform we give them with our views. Its to the point now that you can't share findings with other players without them rebutting that, "if you were right about xyz, it'd be up on youtube".

For example, when GJake complained about Hunter Invis, whilst using Invis over and over again himself. He also complained about LFRs, used them himself, then when they got nerfed, immediately proceeded to use the next most oppressive load-out: Pre-nerf Gyrfalcon with Rat King and wave-frame GL. The fact that PvP streamers have to face a billion Immortal users now is poetic justice, the same way it was poetic justice when Saltagreppo lost world's first raid race the moment Divinity got nerfed, like he'd asked for. That being said, streamers are also capable of doing good, like providing interesting information, highlighting issues, proposing solutions and bringing overall clout to the game, thereby attracting more players and growing the community.

Why cant you blame bungie gun designers for seeing Ikelos smg break pvp and lead the weekly kills by a huge margin and deciding "Here, i know what we need, an smg in the same archetype, in the KINETIC SLOT (better energy specials!!), with MORE range, and a perk that literally turns the ttk of the gun into an msmc from black ops 2". That is not anyones fault but the people who make the game for making a complete lapse in judgment and ability to understand balancing. If nobody exposed how good the gun was right away, absolute best case scenario it would have taken a couple weeks or so AT MOST for people to realize how good it was just from playing and then we'd have the exact same experience as this past weekend the next time the gun is available. But even then, even just in one weekend, people would have realized they were getting destroyed and would have gone out and gotten it regardless. I personally knew the gun was going to completely break the game as soon as the API updated and I went on gunsmith to see the possible rolls on the new guns. Could not believe they would add that. Didnt need to watch a youtube video or play the game at all and i could see this exact scenario coming from a mile away. The self serving bias to pin the blame for the immortal situation on streamers and paint the narrative like this is absolutely deranged. Just assign the accountability where it is deserved, not sure why that is so hard. This room temperature IQ post at the top of trending blows my mind.
