It seems like Twitter is going down the drain both as a company and a tool or resource for sharing information. The API has been shut off for most third-party apps and tools, we can't even see Destiny tweets in Discord or Slack anymore. Mastodon's been around for years and has emerged as a great alternative. It isn't at the mercy of a nutjob billionaire, and the community is growing rapidly. Medium just launched a Mastodon server, while Mozilla, Tumblr, and WordPress/Automattic are all about to join soon. I hope Bungie can consider opening one or more Mastodon accounts to stay in touch with its community.
