Legend lost sectors are horrible now
I'm sure I'm not the first to mention this, but holy hell legend lost sectors are horrible now.
To even play fairly you have to grind out some 200 seasonal ranks just to break even. They mention a +20 power delta yet as ll I see is a laughably insane wall for no reason. They need to be brought back down to their previous season. All levels across the board should be within the pinnacle range. Then apply your disadvantages. Not stack them 20-30 levels about pinnacle. These are meant to be mid to late game content not grandmaster.

Did my second Lost Sector, Solo, Legend, Flawless last night... Took about an hour, maybe a little more. Really enjoyed the challenge and "strategery"... ;-) I did my first solo/flawless/legendary a couple of days ago to get the credit towards "Level 7" and figured might as well try and do it again (as part of the 5 Solo's also required for "Level 7"). It doesn't really matter, once you spend some quality time working a Legendary lost sector, your available revives will evaporate without ANY deaths. "Darkness Surround You"... So why not aim for flawless going in? I'm just over 1800 and it wasn't that hard. Took some patience and planning. I'm also just an "old guy" with all the marginal reflexes that come along with that. It's not about pew, pew skills - its about strategy, patience, and proper loadouts. It seems a lot of folks posting here don't enjoy that aspect of the game... Looking forward to trying it again tonight. (I'm 3 of 5 for the Solo Legendary Lost Sectors achievement)

11 RepliesI ran it 2x when at 1780...(because i got the exotic after 2 runs)...thats 50 under the requirement. And it was still very easy. And i am a casual player.

I do agree that legend being 1830 is absurd, it should be 1820 and master should be 1830. It’s crazy that we will still be 10 light below master while we are at pinnacle cap + lv20 artifact.

Just don’t play the Neomuna ones, they’re a major waste of time.

1 ReplyThe level requirement is abit silly but remember, we're only 3 weeks into the new DLC! Once you are around 1815, with the right loadout and a Lost Sector you are familiar with, you will have no trouble! The issue Ive found is the drop rate of the exotics. Frustrating to have such a low reward rate for an activity that requires so much time invested.

I did it thinking i would get frustrated and quit but got through and did flawless solo my 3rd run through at 1808 light. Strand titan with no masterworks. Strand solar were surges which helped me since i use strand primary. It was tough but rewarding for me so i found it to be perfectly balanced. Now maybe the reward isnt commensurate with the difficulty but the reward is overcoming the challenge not some digital currency to me.

8 RepliesEdited by The Hermit IX: 3/21/2023 11:01:50 AMI did the 5 solo runs and the flawless bit on Sunday. I was 1811 and ran Osteo/Grips load out with suspend Strand. I didn’t even use a barrier weapon and had no issues. Had 2 exotics drops in 5 runs. The new starts gauntlets were one of the drops. Research a build and practice with it. It really isn’t that hard.

1 ReplyI agree. The new raid is 1770-1790 Lost sectors 1815. My character doesn’t need lost sector exotics that bad. The lowering of the raid to 1770-1790 is an attempt to encourage more to participate in the raid. 1815 is on lost sectors is to discourage running the sector, especially since there are no real guarantee to get the exotic to drop. May only be 3 weeks in but it’s still imo a notorious dumb bungie move.

1 Replybeen trying to do it solo for the rank up and I just can't do it, it's impossible; bunker 15 used to be fun to do on legend for the challenge, however now, I get killed by a normal vex, not even a champion, they hit so hard it's not even fair; it makes my favorite lost sector my least favorite. There's just no balance to the damage they deal vs what you deal.

It would be nice if they dropped from other sources too but still allow us to focus-farm if we’re looking for a particular piece. Bringing it down to 1800+ is more reasonable than to always be below level.

These specifically are the one place I can still feel like I’m peeking behind the curtain, first time I did them, no joke, 5-8 exotics per hour, didn’t even know they existed as a long returning player,. Now? … I don’t get exotics from Lost Sectors. It’s like I used up my quota. I HATE being gamed on rewards behind the curtain based on playtime or whatever they’re using to gauge things. I’m finding very little point to do them when the reward is an RNG gamble fest that you pay for in time. Very disrespectful to the player.
