I Hate to ask but… What’s Going to Happen to Zavala?
Will he be killed offscreen in a Bungie article no one will read? In a drawing montage cutscene that will be skipped by many?
Will he be recasted so no one will recognize his voice because Lance was just too recognizable?
Will he take one final stand in a cinematic cutscene and perish without saying a word?
Will he continue to stay on the Tower with no new voice lines and eventually be forgotten as anything more than a vendor to give out bounties?
Will Lance’s voice be replaced by an AI so that he can keep the same voice, but with none of the soul that Lance put into him?
I don’t think I like any of these options if I’m going to be honest.

2 RepliesWhy are so many people so arrogantly believing that somehow since Lance died, Zavala has to die as well? There are so many other languages out there other than English. I wouldn’t be surprised if non English speakers never even knew who Lance was until now. The character of Zavala doesn’t have to die for them. Stop being so damn self centered, people…

4 RepliesHonestly I see 4 options the first 2 are obvious 1: Recast him (don’t like that one though just a slap to Lances face for his work as the voice of Zavala) 2: Kill him off with a hero’s death sort of story but even if they give him a hero’s death will they pull it off? 3: They kill of his ghost, Zavala becomes lightless, he retires as he is not fit for duty as commander and somebody else takes his place. We still read about him in lore here and there and Zavala is just hanging around the tower somewhere. But then again people will say bungie just threw him in a corner and did nothing with him. 4: There’s a very slim possibility Lance might have recorded a few lines for lightfall already (as I said a very slim chance he might have so take this with a side of salt), seasons on the other hand I don’t know. That’s all the ones I can think of at the moment, let me know if anybody can think of more. But my bet is option 3 is one of the options Bungie has on the table.

2 RepliesI seen a post where they separated Zavala from Lance and stated they should make his Gaurdian a memorial in the tower or as an NPC. I think that's a good idea.

2 Repliesmy guess is they probably will do like what they did with Cayde 6 they will probably kill off Zavalla in a few seasons/final shape most likely guessing most of the season dialog is complete that's probably why we still have Zavalla atm so it doesn't make much to kill him off yet
