! got banned during the ban wave I haven't got unbanned or even got a response and I know that bungie does not have to respond however I have read through the code of conduct and terms of service and could not thing of any rules that I had broken.
The only thing that I could think of is that my microsoft account that my bungie account was connected to was hacked about a month ago and I just got it back recently. If I was banned for account recovery would I be able to submit a repeal with proof my microsoft account was hacked and get unbanned.
Also, when I was banned my name was changed could my bungie name have been flagged and that have been the reason for my permanent ban(my previous name was Child B Eater) and if so where did I break the code of conduct and terms of service. I was also never asked to change this name so I did not see that there was a problem with it I just thought that the name was funny.
I already made an appeal and am just trying to figure out why I was banned and if it was my fault because I'm pretty sad I feel like I wasted 5000+ hours of time and hundreds of dollars on a game where I got banned for no apparent reason

2 RepliesI can't speak to your ban, but I'm pretty sure Bungie won't ask you to change your tag, it'll be done without notification. And yes, that was very likely considered offensive, hence the Guardian#.

This forum is unable to assist with appeals of restrictions or bans. There is a process in place for you to appeal your ban or restriction. The contact form is Here
Please note that there is no guarantee for a response, nor is there a guarantee that your ban or restriction will be overturned.

Bungie issues the following they are all different. Suspensions are 30-60 mins This is for leaving matches Restrictions are 2 weeks - 2 months and the 2 months are repeatable. This is for an unstable connection. Ban is permanent which means forever and will not be removed. These are for cheating and may include any of the following. Having cheat programs for a game open also includes trainers. Macros trying to avoid AFK detection. Programming tools that inject code. Any form of network accelerator for manipulating a network, win trading, ghost lobbies, and account recoveries is just some of the more common

Your time in Destiny 2 is over. Someone or something was done to violate the Terms of Service and banned for 500 years. They will not tell you why/how it is not their obligation to do so. If you filed the appeal wait a full business week 5 days M-F and that's it. If you hear nothing then have fun playing something else. Time and money spent has no relevance if you broke the rules you don't get to play.
