Nothing should be this difficult ffs it’s beyond ridiculous yeah sure make it a challenge but games should make you feel like your having fun not make you feel like you wanna just delete it and find something else……… you definitely went overboard with the difficulty spike

Edited by Ketogenic_Guardian: 3/19/2023 5:22:42 AMPlus you and other people who commented need to understand that it's not just for the catalyst you have to complete this mission on legendary for the seasonal title!!!

1 ReplyDid the normal version last night with a friend and based on that I probably won’t be trying the Legend version. Contrast this with Legend Seraph Shield last season which I was able to solo every week and really got a a lot of fun and satisfaction from. I’m kinda bummed that I won’t be able to unlock the full potential of Vexcalibur, instead it will probably end up gathering dust in my vault. If I was capable of getting the catalysts I would even probably have bought the cool looking ornament for the weapon that’s currently in Eververse. As it is, I won’t spend money on an incomplete weapon and so Bungie has lost money. Exotic quests should not be too difficult for average players to compete.

1 ReplyThis mission is just awful in general. I am tired of these fights that is cram player into small room with little to no cover then spam adds and a bullet sponge boss at them. It's not hard and it's not fun.
-
100% awful! My PS5 kept crashing at half health on the boss on top of that... This week with the new hot fix. I gave it ago again. Needless to say, this and Master Nightfalls are content that are feeling closer to GM level. Some tuning is highly needed! And the real GMs are coming so I can only imagine if legend/master spikes this hard. Only a very minuscule percentage will beat all of them let alone get the Conqueror seal! I guess for content it's better to overtune and then nerf if then send it weak and then buffing them! I'm not doing another catalyst run until they retune this. Not worth the stress! LOL

When I first completed that there was something I learned that I'm have to keep in mind. It's not about resilience it's all about abilities spam. Basically you got to make sure you have over 50 intellect strength and discipline. Most importantly make sure someone on your team is using the vexcalibur because that team overshield is very helpful! Keep in mind if you're going to do the first boss make sure you have someone with a bubble or a well who can pop it every time you're in that protected room because that protect the room is bugged. The barrier is supposed to drop after you Bank the purple items but it doesn't it only drops after the timer and usually the team is completely dead by the time the barrier closes... Personally the way the way the changes are they make people think before how they play to play tactical don't play dumb. However I am willing to admit that it's completely unbalanced it's too much like division 2 2018 before all of the balance patches to minimize bullet sponges.

I feel like add spawns should be lowered a bit.
-
Yeah… let’s just say I’m probably going to stick to non legend content for the next little bit until something changes. I’m not crazy good at endgame PvE, but I used to at least be able to jump in every so often. Do all the legend stuff, even burn through some master content and some of the easier GMs… If this is the new difficulty, I don’t think I’ll be doing anything above heroic for the foreseeable future

4 RepliesDid you do it solo, or with someone? I did it with a friend and it wasn't too bad. It was still difficult, but it wasn't horrible. However, I will try the legend version when I can for the other functions, buuuut its entirely possible that's where I'll just say "nope" even with help, but I'll find out for sure, eventually.
-
3 RepliesToo difficult? Sorry can't hear you over the sound of all these Vex around me trying unsuccessfully to kill me. I think you guys REAL problem is that you feel you shouldn't HAVE to be void and/or use Vexcalibur to have an easy time. Not so much that you actually think it's hard.
-
Multiplicity modifier should not be a thing. Since D1, the game has always been advertised as a FIRETEAM based game. Play with friends. It’s a main reason why many activities have no matchmaking. Now you are punished for having friends and playing in a fireteam. So what is it Bungie? Do you actually want us to play with a fireteam or do you want everyone to play solo now since it’ll be miles easier. Make up your mind. It shouldn’t exist. When general raids, even contest mode, is easier than this mission in a fireteam of three, there is a glaring problem. As for difficulty though, I’ve said for years the game needed to be harder. The way they have done it though, isn’t it. Fixed difficulties are just a band aid over a massive bleeding wound. Lazy.

Is the glaive even worth it?
-
9 RepliesBungie wants to alienate the solo player altogether.
-
1 ReplyDon’t bother it’s absolutely abysmal now as are all glaves after Bungie panic nerfed their new exotics into the ground. This company is absolutely pathetic. Honestly they are a bunch of yellow cowards.
-
It's trash... We went from something fun like Seraph Shield to this BS. STOP FIXING WHATS NOT BROKEN...
-
I have never used a Glaive. Based on this, I will continue with that philosophy.

5 RepliesEdited by firerwolf: 3/17/2023 5:45:56 PMDid it last night with two friends and I’ve never felt more like Bungie hated me for making friends in its game. We swore off doing it again until everything is released and we’re much higher level, and not with three people ever again. Legend seraph was fun. How did they -blam!- the experience up this badly?
-
1 ReplyIt’s actually pretty easy solo.
-
I won't even bother. Tried it and peaced out. Not worth the insane amount of BS.
-
4 RepliesI did it solo on my first go. Switched to double special on boss fight and kept depleting all my ammo to get free ammo refunds. Boss is an absolute bullet sponge. Absolutely agree that the difficulty is overtoned. I know that the majority of my friends won't be able to do this. The average player will get frustrated since the catalyst is out of reach for them and at the same time we all know from our favorite Youtubers that we "MUST get this (catalyst) NOW" Idk.. it just seems a bit off when an exotic quest is harder than dungeons/raids..

Edited by Matt: 3/17/2023 6:23:07 PMMe and a pal did this last night, both at around 1775 level. We struggled like crazy, had around 800 kills each and 20 deaths, seems like far too much effort for such a boring weapon, but we did have a lot of fun tbf, did it with no knowledge of how to do it etc and took 90 mins, a cool mini raid imo. Edit: didn’t see this was regarding the legendary level, we did the 1800 level one, my bad
-
When they did soo gd last season yet want ppl to play that every week lol
-
It’s absurd. Until yesterday every run was on solo then I decided to do it in a fireteam and it felt like a 3-man master raid. Barely got it done, never doing it again unless solo.
-
1 ReplyYup, the catalysts for this will stay unfinished, same as dead messenger on master with a timer. The content I'm playing I won't need it anyway and I'll be playing other games before I try to solo legend this.
-
3 RepliesI ran this on Legend last night and yeah. Feels like a Master level. Was actually nutty. Caught me by surprise! We completed it first try but.. not sure how non sweat nerd gamers complete it. Guess they do not eh?
-
1 ReplyConsidering I couldn’t even solo the final boss on regular, I can only imagine the abomination that is legendary. Cheers to whoever can bring themselves to challenge it more or less beat because I just can’t deal with the frustration (at least not without check points) but ya things are starting to reach a breaking point.
