Synthoceps Glaive nerf makes no sense while Well and Starfire exist

I can see the sandbox gears turning, when you see an infinite ammo melee weapon doing a ton of damage, and think "Oh boy", and thats fair. It is a little extreme to have a weapon that can do that... But we arent talking about snipers. Realistically, players are not going to make Glaives "meta", or trivialise content using Glaives, or at least not content that shouldnt be absolutely torn apart by a glaive or any weapon, Strike bosses will remain every weapons punching bag. Even in the Vexcalibur mission, you know what weapon isnt good for that mission? ...Vexcalibur. Especially on Legend, no chance are you going to whip out a glaive in a solo "Legend" Avalon mission, where Hobgoblins are getting their victory royales for free at 30m away. Glaive were not breaking GM Nightfalls. Glaive were not destroying bosses and encounters in Root of Nightmares. Why? Because its too risky. And frankly, if you CAN pull off a Glaive in that content? GG. If you can whip out the Glaive in a GM, and NOT get blown out, you deserve the Glaive to be as strong as it is. You know isnt a risk/reward damage method? Slapping on a bunch of ugly curtains and throwing fusion grenades. I cannot believe, that you are going to look, at one of the most unviable end game builds in Destiny 2, being Glaive builds, that are so dependant on player skill, and knowing how to avoid damage, and how to play smart, and to do all that while maintaining Biotic Enhancement proc, and actually capitalising on it. But "I sit in no death circle, me throw 20 grenades, nah see no issue here bro, ya'll hear somethin???" Cmon. Get real. I know the meme of "Warlock bias" or whatever exists, but you cannot be serious, watching almost every high end Warlock player, in every activity from Raids, Dungeons, GM Nightfalls, Exotic Mission, Master content, use the exact same build, doing in some cases, x2 the damage that other Warlock builds do, let alone other classes, and being able to just sit in a circle that infinitely heals you, and see absolutely no power imbalance whatsoever, and go "Man Titan do be hittin numbers using that stick". I do not understand your sandbox team. I remember back in the day, you guys talked about Reckoning. That horrific piece of content, where you had to literally make it cheat, in order to deal with players overwhelming power, and how you decided to rebalance the game to avoid making content that felt unfair. Please go talk to the team members who said that. Edit: So not only is it bad, its even worse. The default melee with Biotic Enhancements proc'd, does MORE damage than a Glaive melee. Yes, you cant hit as fast with a default melee, but least keep going down this rabbit hole. Lets say you're on Sentinel, and have Offensive Bulwark on, which increases your melee damage. This will affect powered melee, and default punch melee, but not glaives. Which means, just to make it extra ridiculous... It is better, to use Vexcalibur to create an overshield, and then SWAP TO DEFAULT MELEE, rather than using the glaives melee, despite the fact Vexcalibur is supposed to do MORE damage when you have an overshield... What are you doing? Oh, just to make it worse.. you nerfed this, but what did you NOT nerf? The Glaive interaction with Incandescant/Volitle/Necrotic Grip and Broodweavers Suspend on W A R L O C K And thats clearly a bug, thats obviously not intended, even though i think its cool, but youre gonna ignore that, and make every single Glaive melee, worse than a default melee, invalidating the ENTIRE reason to even USE a glaive at all.

  • Well needs a nerf. Starfire needs a energy return nerf. ENhanced fusions probably need a second explosion damage nerf too but im cooler on the last one than the first two. Makes no sense they're still the way they are.

      Stop hating on Warlocks. It’s absurd seeing they always will be a powerful part of your fireteams. Crying for nerfs for other classes won’t change the nerf they dropped. Get over it.

    • Starfire doesn’t need a nerf. It’s just because it’s good and you’re done using it. Part of the more challenging crowd. “It’s too good as I used it to get all my stuff and now I have it it’s make everything trivial” However the rest of the community now had to deal with harder content and squishy Guardians. Now would be the worst time. You want balance, then make the Hunter support and lower its dps on boss output. Make them the healer. Or make the Titan Shield heal if he stands still. The game needs a support role and until they balance things, We’ll and Starfire are what we have. Just saying it’s too good and taking it away leaves the community with nothing to fill that gap. Which hurts the new and midlevel players must as they DONT have the resources or gear to fall on other builds.

          Here we go again. Let's talk about how overpowered hunters are then shall we? Oh you don't wanna do that do you? Didn't think so. You have your characters blocked or hidden but I'd place a strong bet on your a hunter main. It's always destiny's favorite class loves to see the other classes nerfed into the ground meanwhile you guys are absolutely busted. What a crock of crap this is.

          • Glaives have nothing to do in this game. Good riddance. I still love my titan. Many great exotics, and that’s coming from a player who never ever equipped synthoceps or lorely.

          • Warlock bias? Bruh have you played trials? Or any endgame pvp? Its infested with hunters lmao. You rarely see warlocks and titans in the high skill games.
