Lost Sector rewards need a serious buff

Just did 5 masters with platinum and the best thing I got was a Defiance Engram. No exotics, just a few cores and a prism or two.

    • Yeahhh, I did 5 Master lost sectors and not even 1 exotic. Though that wasn’t my goal but still wacky.

    • If their going to increase difficulty, they need to increase rewards. It’s only fair.

      • Bungie thinks that an extra core or 2 or even a prism is a upgrade to the reward system They are out of touch

          • Also the loot pool is so big now, trying to farm a specific piece is pretty much impossible.

          • I know Bungie will never do it because it's probably not cost-effective , but I think we need a Lost Sector 2.0, treat lost sectors like mini-strikes, with a unique themed weapon from each one , some of these lost sectors tell interesting stories, like the Eliksni fight club on the tangled shore , or the Vex holding the security frames hostage in Bunker E15 on Europa, would give a reason to farm them besides a low chance at an exotic armor piece, so if you didn't get the armor you wanted , you would get a roll of a weapon But what do I know

            Just curious, A lot of players have been asking this business for a long time now to buff the drop rates. What makes you think if you do, that they would even want to do this knowing they are all about showing numbers these days? For 6 years and this isn't even me joking. For 6 years they have said [b]("we know the loot system isn't rewarding")[/b] and at one point they mentioned they "will fix this", yet it has never been fixed, adjusted, or any attempt at all. So the question stands, why lie to your player base for 6 years other than to manipulate them into believing they will by saying, let's not but say we did? The reason I replied to your post is that they recently said for the umpteenth time "we know" but they won't do a damn thing about it.

          • That's ridiculous. Especially with new difficulty scaling they should be guaranteeing an exotic on completion. Then the only grind is getting the right roll then. There's still something there at least, but its not excessive. I can't imagine many would want to just grind legend lost sectors forever, but wouldn't mind a mild grind. After all its just about putting time in. That should be fine enough to guarantee something. It doesn't need to be this excessive triple stack grindfest, that's just anti-player.

          • I get more frequent exotic drops on Legend than Master.

          • You must be taking too long to clear the lost sector. In my experience, you just need to kill the champs, the boss and open the chest in under 4 minutes for a 50% chance at an exotic. I'm convinced the exotic drop chance decays over time so if you're the sort that wants to kill all the ads, you're actually reducing your chances of a payout.

              Most things in this game need a reward buff, this is a looter shooter game with little to no loot. Just look at the cheese in Duality you can do for artifice armour 1840 power level activity dropping 58-62 drops is beyond pathetic I can get higher rolls doing patrols.

            • Pretty sure it took 9 runs on my Titan to get an exotic to drop. Hope they increase the drops by next season because that when I'll try again.

              • Took me I think 14 clears to get the Titan helmet the other day. I had zero exotics drop the entire time. 14 runs to get 1 exotic Luckily it was decently rolled.

              • Although I’d like some of the exotics in ‘em it’s too much work for minimal rewards. It feels good to accomplish doing it once but after two tries it becomes a headache and frustration I simply don’t need. If they guaranteed you one prioritizing ones you currently don’t have at least once a week from the solo sectors then I’d go in but you can get the same rewards (- the exotic) from nightfalls so it’s kinda a very hard no.

                • Not to mention, if they're going to increase the difficulty and nerf resilience/abilities at their base cooldowns, they should at least make sure the game actually *works* as intended. Since getting to ~1805, 1810, these Lost Sectors are very doable if you've got the patience and play for your life once the timer runs out. Easier after a few successful runs. But if you've got champions, it's a freakin' shame if your Artifact is bugged. I can't tell you the amount of times that overload/barrier/unstoppable glitches out, alongside the other seasonal passive buffs, so I'd end up hoping I can end up doing enough burst dps before 2/3 of those champions regen, or ignoring the unstoppables and hoping I've got enough lives to respawn and kill the boss before the unstoppables put me down for good. So, what's next if restarting the game doesn't fix the glitch? How about some exotics then--arbalest for barrier, maybe malfeasance for unstoppables, or Two Tailed for Overloads, but wait, some of these exotics have a longer reload or don't do enough dps because for SOME reason, the Overloads get over their stuns way too quickly, then you have to wait for the cooldown for your intrinsic overload, and when you get to stun again, that champion is already topped off on health. God forbid you have an extremely aggressive Unstoppable too, because alongside the enemy density and damage, you might not have enough time to pop off that one Unstoppable shot because you're liable to be 1-2 shot. Last week, I got lucky with my first Legend clear running the seraph machine gun with target lock on Void surge/overcharge--got the Gyrefalcon which made subsequent runs much easier with a repulsor brace/volatile rounds build with orbs for constant devour and invis. The champions though--they were still easily disrupting the build] loop if I wasn't being careful. Tldr, *fix* champion stuns and artifacts mods first, *then* do something about drop rates if we're going to be at power disadvantage at all times.

                • I think it is crazy that the exotics are only tied to lost sectors they should have a chance to drop on pinnacle activities

                • I ran Legend lost sector yesterday. 3 clears for the Warlock to get the boots. 9 clears for the Hunter to get the boots. The average then is about 6 clears to get an exotic drop. That’s pretty much on par with past seasons.

                  • How is it I always get a guaranteed exotic on my very first run? Are you guys killing all the champions? Are you doing flawless runs? I feel doing those guarantees a drop. Steamrolling to just kill the boss has never granted me anything in the past.
