Patrols are meant for exploration and testing out different builds. Every enemy is bullet sponge, basically making legend primaries useless. Lost sectors on Neomuna are WAY too long. Basically get the triumphs for them and never return.
Why is Legend difficulty way higher then it needs to be? This is supposed to be the middle ground for casuals and hardcores and the perfect difficulty for ppl who don’t have time to reach the hard cap.
Strand is carrying the PvE side on the game no doubt, but it sucks major peen in PvP. With the exception of Needlestorm, but it’s still outclassed by nova bomb. The Threadlings and Tangles do pitiful damage. The Hunter and Titan supers are a complete joke against guardians. Easier to dodge than a Dark souls arrow. LOL. I’ve been in Mayhem matches where there were ZERO ppl using Strand. This crap just came out. Pathetic.
And now, I just found out that the pinnacle activity in Destiny, the contest mode of the new raid, was completed in only TWO hours! Are you joking me? The D2 Kings Fall race (a raid which we already played) took longer than a brand new raid. Sad.
I’ve heard ppl say Legend Vexcalibur was harder than contest RoN. Same with Legend NF and Legend Campaign. Mega sad.
Bungie, what is even the point of difficulty spikes of this magnitude if all we’re looking forward to is steam rolling through the new raid? Where is the rewards? Everything just feels like a slog now and it’s incredibly discouraging, especially when you have competitors like Hogwarts Legacy and Elden Ring in the mix. There’s just no satisfaction now.
You’re making the same mistakes that Dark Souls 2 made. Way too much artificial challenge in the form of regular enemies having way too much health, while at the same time, making the boss fights easier and non-rewarding. It’s like if Elden Ring made every open world mob have triple health while reducing bosses health by half.
At least in Elden Ring, you have the option to grind levels and gain advantages. In your case Bungie, you went the lazy route and just now cap the players level and made the grind for power levels worse. But you also screwed up and made the pinnacle activities the easiest in the game. For gods sake, there are ppl saying Neomuna patrols are more stressful than the raid. MFing PATROLS! How do you screw up this bad?

1 ReplyWhats the point of making everything harder? just to make it harder to get to a level where you can do the raid? then just steam roll over it, cause its easier than doing patrols? Also it puts you a detriment, so whats the point of levelling up your power?
-
1 ReplyIt's only patrol areas on Neptune. The rest are the same as before. Every dlc the new areas have a higher light recommended light level.
-
1 ReplyIt’s challenging but the difficulty enjoyable to me. Other patrol zones in the game is very easy and therefore almost empty.

Hi, top 1k mayhem player for the season speaking, I’ve killed already over 2500 guardians, im not too far from my third reset this season in valor, I have not experienced a lack of strand in pvp, the grapple for hunters is about the tactical aspects, and I’ve seen it in troves, I even got a triple kill off the hunter melee, I’ve completely made fools of people whipping around their supers and even dodging thunder crashes by vaulting into the sky. I even sang around the world while whipping around this poor dawnblade and made him whiff his entire super trying to track me. The titan super is exceptionally fast and with super supers the heavy swing has the capacity to stun or halt supers, particularly thundercrash, and it’s melee speed swing even without syntho is super hard to track, in fact it’s so fast I had a dude swinging into a tether and got 4 swings off before the tether finally halted him, I was already dead on the first swing. As for needlestorm, it’s certainly strong in its own right, more so because it’s basically blade barrage for warlocks and so naturally people are mad. I had the most fun with this build, and The hatchlings you think suck? I’m my build capitalizes on them, I get grenade and rift energy expending either, and I get grenade energy off rift cast, rift energy off grenade damage, grenade energy off damage, hatchling primary/heavy, vesper of radius gives rift energy when surrounded, or the new swarmers drops 2 off a destroyed tangle, fragment that gives chance for hatchlings off strand weapon kills meaning I could spawn 2 on a headshot or 1 not, consuming grenade gives 5 extra hatchlings on rift cast on top of the 3, hatchlings that don’t hit come back and charge up to that 5, so I’ll have them on the next rift cast I’ll have back within seconds if they don’t hit. And more….. so if I’m being honest, I can’t share in this sentiment. I have used all 3 in full and have had success with all 3.

9 RepliesPeople who complain the game is hard are : Using 2 primary weapon / dont super / dont use heavy ammo / dont mod armor / dont use exotic .....

I disagree about the raid. They need easier raids to encourage new players to start raiding. DSC probably has the highest raiding numbers because it is easy to bring 2 or even 3 new players through. I like this decision, especially with the difficulty spike elsewhere.

Not difficult at all.😄

5 RepliesPretty low is what i would call the difficulty right now.

Went into mayhem using strand. KD went down the drain. Switched back to my nova and destroyed. Still think a good golden gun hunter is the scariest opponent hands down in mayhem. Seasons past it was a blade barrage hunter or stasis hunter. Most fun for me is thunder crash titan just because...
