Our team killed Nezarec and still got wiped out without any reward
Hello, Bungie support team, in the Root of Nightmares contest mode, we had a problem that really broke out our motivation.
We killed Nezarec and were wiped out, we saw that his health bar was completely empty, and not only that, but we received the season of defiance engram and final encounter bounty contract from ADA-1 was comlpited.
We don't know will we be able to gather up to try it out more.
We want to know if it's possible for our raid to be counted as completed and we get the contest mode emblem as a reward, or do we need to kill him again?

Update:
We intentionally did exact thing after contest mod period expired but at this time we got our clear and reward with complition of raid.

Same thing happened with myself and my Fireteam at the time, it seems to be an issue with the chest not spawning until the death animation has fully played and the wipe mechanic continuing even as the death animation plays through, I’ve said this on other posts reporting this issue but I feel the need to say it again in hopes that it will get Bungie’s attention that this is an issue that needs to be rectified. We received defiant engrams and keys making it clear that we killed Nezarec and ‘beat’ the encounter but were still wiped and reset the encounter. This really killed our motivation and resulted in us continuing for several more hours until the end of contest mode with no success.
