PS5 game crashes are getting out of hand
Per the title, the amount of game crashes I'm being subject to on PS5 is getting ridiculous.
It seems to be at completely random times when in combat and has only been the case since Lightfall.
My partner plays on PS4 and doesn't have any crashing issues.

I've just crashed two times in 5 minutes on neomuna. So despite the supposed work arounds like clearing cache etc, this is a problem.

It's Neomuna......and commendation tab. Lol, I wonder if I'm the only one that uses the commendation tab to leave from annoying or garbage lfg fireteams.

Weird thing is I suffered with crashes all the time on Neomuna. Got really fed up with the game. However since last weekend I've had no crashes at all. I haven't done anything other than the PS5 updates. Probably gonna jinx myself now writing this.

I clear my cache like others have said and mine still crashes and freezes. Never been this bad at any point. For me it happens a ton on incursions, overloads and defiant battle grounds. A few have happened in the middle of a NF. Its on their end but everyone will defend them and say its our ps5s

It crashes for me when I'm doing seasonal content with the Strand sub. After I get back in the game, switch the sub, and I'm ok.

I noticed that too. On PS5, it kicks you off quite a bit compared to Xbox and PC. Maybe it's just us.

1 ReplyAt least 80-90% of my crashes are during the Terminal Overload event. I've gotten a few during heroic public events too though. I send the report with clip every time I'm prompted to do so, which if I had to count them they are probably in the high teens - low 20's by now.

2 RepliesMine started crashing more and more during terminal overload. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled and haven’t had it happen again in 4 days. 🤞

In fairness the taking away of content was because of these problems and despite what Bungie says, it seems that their game cannot handle it all but who knows! Maybe just needs a lil hot fix.

I haven't been able to complete a vex incursion PE at all. Not even 1 have I completed. I stopped freezing in overload but now it's constantly freezing in vex incursion.

The Vex incursion crashes the game on my PS5. Specifically when the last three bosses are low on health. I thought it might have been caused by using Strand so swapped to an Arc subclass but it still crashed. -
2 RepliesI agree, it's making the game unplayable for me atm, never had these issues and now I'm lucky if I can get through a crucible or strike without a crash, I don't even try the seasonal playlist either...

I cannot be the only player in the community who can foresee this happening with every DLC that's about to be launched. There are always going to be teething problems with new content, but they are intensified by the way that Bungie operates. Instead of using the original format of the game and replacing new for old, they add unnecessary rubbish which causes even more chaos. I would have preferred new strikes and PvP maps to stasis, which caused so many problems that were foreseeable. And the same has happened with Snot String, I mean Strand. These new unwanted additions cause so many problems, that Bungie can't fix them in time for the next season, and the bugs multiply in the next launch. I saw this happening once again when I saw the Lightfall trailers, and thankfully, decided not to buy it. Destiny has become a Frankensteins monster for Bungie,and they have lost control

Try updating the system software today, Sony released a new version, maaaybe it'll alleviate some issues.

Fwiw series S & X crash too, not as often but at least once a day now. With that, & having to restart the console every 4-5 games bcoz everyone's invisible, it's nigh on unplayable
