Are Nezarec & Tormentors Lubraean??

So after watching a streamer do Root Of Nightmares on Contest Mode, I noticed that Nezarec and the Tormentors look very similar to Rhulk. Are they part of the same species perhaps? If they are, that's very interesting cuz in the lore, it depicts Rhulk killing his entire species. So now the question is did Rhulk spare a few members of his race or The Witness encounter other Lubraeans and turned them into the Tormentors and saved another powerful member of the species that we'd come to know as Nezarec? I'm very intrigued to find out the reason for this.

What the witness did was provide a body for him to inhabit, we are aware that he actually grows in strength based off fear and pain which are mental not physical things. Its possible thats how he consumes and the more he consumes the stronger he gets. The witness had Rhulk design a body for him as Rhulk also created the upended, glaives, and alot of pyramid tech as he was the first disciple. Rhulk created a body similar to his own as he believed he was the strongest being. It makes sense as Nezerec created the Nightmare defenses we see on the Moon. I think we will be seeing him again someday in another raid or dungeon that takes place in the mindscape that a few psions project us onto to finally end him

    • Pretty sure it was explicitly stated that Rhulk is the last of the Lubraeans.

    • The only conclusion I can draw from them looking the same is that the obelisk granted Nezarec a similar body to the tormentors due to the fact you can see his body forming inside at different points during the raid. I’m led to believe that the Witness had stored only a portion of his body— I’m assuming it’s his head as that’s the only thing that looks out of place.

      • If you read the lore, like you most definitely probably SHOULD if you’re gonna be here in the LORE forum, you’d know that Rhulk was the last of the Lubraeans. Nezarec is a Qugu. The only similarities between the two are their red armor that seems to be typical of the Witness’s creation.

      • They are both different, i think the only similar thing is their armor Nezzy has wings, is beffier, and built top heavy, almost like a gorilla Rhulk is much more humanoid, moves like an assassin imo. Tormentors to me seem like a puppet mutation of the Witnesses design. Maybe like brainless thralls flooded with darkness. If you watch the part where Calus tries to talk to one it didnt even acknowledge his jokes, but carried out any order giving. Think of them like Nomus in MHA
