RON second encounter catapults need fixing
Ok I don''t know why this is so inconsistent between players, FPS?, but you need to do something about the catapults. Its 50-50 if they work or kill me, fire me into the void etc.

You gotta take your time and back fully up onto them. Keep your feet on the ground and then shoot it. Ever since i found this out i have not had any problems.

Absolutely agree they need to be fixed. I just use the Strand Grapple to get across

The fact they made an inconistent physics dynamic part of a raid enocunter like that is beyond me.

Until they fix it, it helps to be walking backwards, pressing the booty right up against the booper before activating it.

These never fling me upwards, only in a straight line into terrain or down into the abyss. These should have been designed without a midair jump in mind, but I think Bungie made em this way on purpose to make flawless runs more annoying. They've had a hardon lately for launching or sliding at high speed down ramps.

Warlocks however, it was flinging me straight to the ground. If you get the jump at the wrong part of the arc you again don't make it. They're aload of crap

I've run it on my hunter and warlock and never really had an issue. Idk if this is a frame rate issue or what y'all are doing wrong.

1 ReplyYeah the catapults in general in that raid are hot garbage. I died alot to them in 5 hours, i had to get carried to the next check point because i couldnt do the damn jump on warlock lol, even had a moment where i hot killed by it as soon as i shot the button

Literally had to put on an eager edge sword and ignore the push pads because they kept killing people. Yet another thing that nobody asked for

It wouldn't be a Bungie raid unless a mechanic was specifically designed to screw over the player. 👍

After running the raid numerous times, all I can say, there is no problem with them on hunter and titan. But on warlock you most definitely have to run eager edge and/or icuras dash and maybe abuse heat rises just to avoid the 50/50 chance of the mechanic screwing you. I do like the mechanic, but it's definitely annoying on warlock.

1 ReplyThey're definitely weird. I always walked back as far as I could and just set my controller down when someone shot the crux. Never had an issue that way, but I did watch my teamate get thrown downwards by the launcher and someone got thrown right into a wall and died. No idea how they can fix it unless they just swap them somehow for Halo man cannons.

I’ve always walked backwards before shooting the crux and I told my friends to do the same. Crossed the gap many times without issues.

Trying to flawless this raid is gonna be a pain. However, you can wellskate across and be fine.
