remembered this working for me when witch queen release was broken, decided to try it for lightfall!
need more people to test this to confirm, as im not sure which thing fixed the issue.. comment below if the first or second thing works PLEASE!
1. went to nvidia control panel global settings, set 'shader cache' to disabled. started destiny2.
2. noticed battle eye in task manager and had an intrusive thought to end that task. doing so also closed destiny2 which i didnt think would happen. reopened destiny2 (seems like this step is what does it for me) and with lightning speed it went passed the title screen directly to character select. and into the 4 or 5 cutscenes

4 RepliesFor anyone still having this issue I might have found a solution. For some reason my audio settings get messed up and I have to reset it back to default before I can get back into destiny. 1) make sure destiny is closed. By force quoting it through task manager. 2) open your volume mixer.(you can do this by right clicking the speaker icon in the bottom right of the windows taskbar then click open volume mixer. You can also search volume mixer in the search box in the windows task bar as well. 3) scroll down to the bottom of the application list and you’ll see a reset button. 4) click reset. 5) try opening destiny again and hopefully this fixed it! This is not a permanent fix but it seems to work whenever I get the stuck loading bug. I do have an audio mixer and it is annoying to have to reset that up every time I wanna play destiny but the alternative is just not playing destiny at all haha. I hope this helps some people and I hope to see you all back in the game grinding!

Neither of these solutions worked for me

I'm having the same issue, have been for over a month. I check back in from time to time to see if the game will let me login, and yet again it doesn't. I've tried this, I've tried the audio driver "fix", nothing works. I'm an IT guy, so I'm sure it's not a network issue on my end and I've even got my ports forwarded. Sucks to have to do IT work to play the game I've put hundreds of dollars and hours into and it still not work.

Neither of these worked for me either

unfortunately neither of those worked for me. I disabled Shader Cache in the global settings. No change. Went to see if I could change it specifically for Destiny 2, and the Shader Cache option isn't even listed for Destiny 2 in program settings. If I end BEservice while its hung at the load screen, D2 stays open. If I end it when D2 shows up in the background processes it will end it there, but hitting play right after doesn't change anything. When it opens it just stays hung at the load screen

Yea man, tried everything everyone is saying to try here, nothing works.

Unfortunately, neither step worked for me. Closing BattleEye didn't even close Destiny for me, the emblems just kept on spinning.

3 RepliesEdited by charlessmith918722: 3/12/2023 12:40:26 AM Sadly it didn't work for me, maybe someone else will have better luck C:/user - > program file -> Nvida Corporation -> Control Panel Client -> nvcplui (application) Double click/open nvcplui and it will open Nvidia Control Panel Left hand side -> 3D Setting -> Manage 3D setting Right -> Global Setting -> scroll down to Shader Cache -> Off -> apply setting This didn't work. I also tried going to program setting (the next tab) -> Program to customize -> destiny 2 .exe -> Shader Cache -> Off -> Apply setting This also didn't work. https://tinypic.host/i/2.rZ8Sb Thanks for trying.
