Are we ever going to get matchmaking for raids? Other games do it just fine, and I understand the chaos that'll likely ensue but hey, let it work itself out, no need to just say no because of potential personal issues individuals have.
I pose the question/feedback because since launch on PC, I've only ever played with two friends in the game, and I have anxiety issues so for a long time, I didn't even do strikes with strangers, let alone think of finding a guild to raid or do the guided raids. Now I can play with others, I guess I can find a guild but that still doesn't solve a big problem, that being able to access the content added to a product you paid for within reason.
So, a 6 man matchmaking system in my opinion would be good and is needed. Come on, it'll be fun.

It would be a nightmare. Use the tools available.

2 RepliesOld and not seriously taken suggestions For several seasons this has been suggested by many individuals. It’s a video game social construct similar to high school. If you’re unable to be socially comfortable with finding or being (allowed) to play with those particular individuals who play in that end game content? You just except it and don’t raid. Until the raid community excepts that idea it will never happen.

Regular players can't even do a ball mechanic in Corrupted and you expect them to somehow do a raid mechanic, most players don't even use coms. In game LFG is going to be added this year, so it's kinda like a matchmaking

They could probably get away with match making dungeons, at least on normal mode, but raids probably aren't possible. There's only a handful of raid encounters that can be done with no communication, and half of them are door opening that don't drop substantial loot like the kings fall or vog doors. I do wish there were more raids that could be done with little to no communication since the lfg experience can vary wildly and take a stupid amount of time, but I suppose that's what dungeons are supposed to be for.

Match made raids sound like torture. There’s a lot of people who don’t communicate and it would definitely ruin it for everyone else unfortunately. Also the amount of trolls would be unreal

No. How many strikes do you do where someone goes afk... and if like me the answer is ALOT. How many strikes or pvp do random players talk to each other and co-ordinate... if like me NONE. So now you are in a raid where no one talks to eachother and do different things and with at least one going afk. Not to mention that in a raid there would be people who have never done that raid if at all trying to play. So no. There are plenty of LFG sites.

If they have matchmaking then try hards can’t gatekeep content anymore

Yeh, I don’t see why they can’t just make it an option. Use it if you want, or form your own team. Perhaps they could add barriers, like you must have completed it once and be a minimum power level before you can enter the raid mm system.
